Ooops, the name of his boat is "Snake Dance"--sorry. Nice name for a boat owned by a Viper dealer owner, huh?

He had the Apache posted on his dealer website all summer long listed as "sold". Maybe he sold it to himself? It was new for him this past season and he had it up until the fall.
Last year he had a 42' Cig. Tiger called "SpeedPass".

Baja, I'm amazed....it seems that most of the anti-speed limit posts are coming from the entire spectrum of boaters, not just the small minority of high-perf. boaters that frequent the site. Unless,of course, the same person may be posting under different logins like some of the opposition. There's not much bashing going on, much of the conversation is very constructive. Woodsy's letter summarizes and touches upon all facets of the argument and it's well written in a logical and coherent manner. No one can challenge any of the factual information that he posted. As many have said, a push for more boater education is key to changing peoples attitudes and behaviors on the lake.

Yup... Snake Dance is it, (just wasn't up for playing the "name police"). He still has his 38 Cig. for sale... CHEAP-CHEAP! It's listed everywhere from Martin Marine to Silver sands, could be a good, inexpensive "project" boat for someone, I'm sure it needs some work...

DoTheMath, I love the Sunsation!!! With the stock 415 hp motor She was running 67-68 this season, Well considering I got her late August and managed to put 42 hrs on her. The new 650+HP engine is in her now, but won't have any numbers till spring. Some of the other Sunsation guys running that HP are seeing mid 80's close to 90. we'll have to wait and see.

Thumbs down

Judging by this poll, we're losing.

I don't live there anymore, nor do I boat there, but I hate to see more and more rules and regs issued, mainly because the only ones who show up and voice their opinions (and vote) are the blue-hairs.

It would be interesting to find out what percentage of people voting even own a boat The pole is "unscientific" to say the least and as you pointed out, there are plenty of blue-hairs on the board. I've talked to a couple of marina owners and they'll certainly be putting some pressure on.

Its not so much the speed limit that I'm opposed to, but that fact that its a foot in the door for other "goodwill" gestures on the part of our legislators.
