Default What’s going on with CMI?

I sent my exhaust out for them to build a new set 2 months ago. Deadlines have come and gone still no exhaust. Can’t get anyone on the phone or get a call back from the person they transfer me too. Don’t know what to do at this point. Anyone know or has heard about what’s going on out there in Wisconsin?

Ugh - this is concerning. Every couple years I have to have a header rewelded. Hopefully nothing more than a temporary communication issue. I know last year on my header they were like 8 weeks out just to repair.

uhhh don’t you think it might be time for new headers if they are getting weld repaired every 2 years?

Same service for me, all I wanted was response on my question. How long to pressure test my e top headers. 7 calls and 8 emails finally got a response. 12 weeks turn around!! So I just bought a new set from cp. Only set they had in stock. So I will have a set of e top headers with welded water tubes for sale soon. They have 104 hrs on them. Terrible service!!!

Wow I got 20 years out of my first set of e-Tops, and 10-12 of that was in Salt water.

HA - those were mostly on the old boat. New boat I have only had to send them once in about 6 or 7 seasons for a pinhole leak.

Thats what I was thinking. Back when I had my fiberglass shop in Naples my buddy who owned a metal fabrication shop next door hired a welder out of Miami. The guy came over with a trailer full of Stellings and mufflers he had to repair on his spare time.

He went back to the east coast once a month to visit his kids and drop off headers and pickup more for repair.
