WHY? I don't see why Velocity would do this... the Checkmates are totally different boat, different bottom, different entry and more... they don't fit into the line up that Velocity currently has, and I believe Velocity needs to "focus" on what they have now before promoting another brand - but then, Scott knows best.

Our first boat was a Checkmate 259 Convincor. We bought it new in 2002, a 2000 model leftover in inventory. Loved that boat. It was built really well. Added full hydraulic steering, performance tabs and 85HP to a 454 MAG. Always impressed on how that boat handled LOTO. I think Velocity will find a nice niche with those molds. Hopefully they move some of the Ohio Checkmate employees down to Florida with the molds🍻
