was thinking anything around for condensation absorbent to drop in now then fill fresh before use in summer. |
For 40+ years I've just left the fuel in the tank wherever it's at, stabilized it and ran it the next spring....never an issue. Last year I hardly ran the boat, didn't put fresh fuel in it until August, no issues. Never really worried about any of this.

Split the baby and put a half a tank in with stabilizer then fill with fresh summer blend next year….. |
I'll fuel up with the half measure approach suggested by seafordguy.... my engines run on 89 at the pump, but doesnt gas as its stored lose octane?... it was great when I ran up on lake George I fuel up on non- ethanol gas stations.
No such non-ethanol thing here in Jersey......I'll fill up with a slightly higher octane & do the stabilizer ..thanx all! |
I fill with alcohol free gas some stabilizer run the engine do oil change and good to go for next summe, unfortunately alcohol free gas over a buck a gallon more, never had a problem

I have never, ever, in 50 years of boating heard ANYONE drain a tank on a boat for storage...
