Default Drive showers

Do drive showers really work? Does anyone with drive temp gauge have any info? If they do work, what is the best brand to go with?

Just ordered one from eddie marine for my personal christmas gift. Will have to see what happens come spring time. My outdrive is white on top from heat, can't hurt anyway. Cheap insurance!!

They are a must have to keep drive temp down.

I have one from INNOVATIVE MARINE,,, it is a very nice piece,,, also acts as a heat sink

One name only.... SIMREK....... go to driveshowers.com to see. I have had 3 on two supercharged boats. never any white chalk after adding the showers. Inexpensive also. OPIE 272 just ordered a bunch (Halo's) for us @ $119.00 ea. with the 90* tips. That makes four in my current stable!! Paul @ Simrek also warranties them for life to original purchaser. My .02...simply the best. Worth every penny. Lose 50* with the Halo unit.

A few years back I believe Hot Boat had an article where they did a before and after temparature test. If I recall they tested a Bronson Hill unit. Test was performed by Jim Wilkes of Wilkes Marine in Santa Ana, CA. Bottom line.. They Work!

Thanks guys. I looked at the ones from Simrek and think I will go with them. They look like they disperse a lot of water and they make one for the ITS system which I need.

I could be wrong, but I am quite sure it was the Simrek drive shower that Jim Wilks did the testing on in Hot Boat Mag.

I went with Simrek and the install was easy and the design seems real good. No white chalky build up. Good price also.
