SpectreBoy 12-24-2002 03:58 PM

Too much

1. Diamond ear rings
2. New Kirby sweeper
3. 3 pair of shoes
4. winter coat
5. video game
6. video of the Buckeyes
7. and $ 100.00 for her
birthday which is the 28th.

So total about $ 2800.00, but this is not the usual, I had a real good year this year and we both went kinda wild, but in the past about 3 to 4 hundred.

I'm with packinair. Didn't see a 0 spot. I'll get her something later. Just a little while ago, I was laying in bed trying to take a nap and she came in and asked me if I wasn't going shopping! I grunted and rolled over.:) Always the romantic, that's me.

Audiofn 12-24-2002 05:30 PM

Does it really matter? I would find a way to get anything for the woman I love. Her happiness is what matters to me.

H2Xmark 12-24-2002 06:51 PM

I spent right at 280.00 on my girlfriend, hell I only met her 3 month's ago!

Jon,
first, i wasn't in that category, but what about the guys who may have gotten furniture for Christmas for the house. To the women, that's for both of us, but for us men, it just steals toy money:D Unless the "furniture" is the kind you sell, then it's okay. :D If it's $6k in just jewelry and stuff, man, I agree. Insane.....and I bet all of them on their girlfriend (read NYMPHO) or first wife. (Guys on the second wife or more probably are in the $1-$49 category...the low end LOL!) Or, they're working one hell of a trade off for something they want, and it BETTER be HUGE! :D

Got my wife an artist retreat and studio equipment. Building her a website for it at http://www.artfolio.com/ . Now she says I can have boaters come for rides in my batboat while their wives make pottery, sculpture, and other artwork at the retreat. We open right after the first of the year. Only bad part is we can see the ocean, but it takes about 45 minutes to get there. We got it in April, but it took until just this week to get it almost finished and the Christmas surprise was equipping the pottery studio. Should have done pictures of the progress like the boat rebuilds that are so cool to see.

Wife and I have an agreement, the Kids come first :). They received a lot of neat things. Just seeing the look on their faces as they opened the gifts is worth a Million dollars to both of us :).

mopower 12-25-2002 08:51 AM

A bunch of little $hit and few small things she asked for plus 10 $100 bills stapled together in a nice fanned out array in a MUSHY Christmas card.
After all ..one size fits all...the colors always perfect...and you know she won't return it

Merry Christmas people :)

hp500efi, You're right about that..but ours is grown but I did get him and extended warrantee on his new 'Burban that put a smile on his face

Santa was good to the wife this year. She got the pond kit she wanted. (She wants a pond in the back yard. ) And she wanted a digital camera. Now I do not have to ask friends to take pics and email them to me. ;)

Christmas was good!!

NASTY HABIT 12-25-2002 10:31 AM

well now that she knows....I wasn't suppose to get anything as all funds are previously spoken for....she got a handfull of small items and tomm we are going parts shopping for her Mini....there is no way I could not watch her open presents this morning......

I LOVE MY SHMOOPY !!!!

mcollinstn 12-25-2002 10:44 AM

This year we decided to NOT get each other anything since she wants a new house. I got her a shorty leather jacket and a bunch of stuff for the kids to give her along with some gift certificates for her to go shopping for clothes.

I asked for nothing this year cause I just got too much stuff already. I got a bunch of stuff anyhow.

Kids had a huge haul.

Last year was the YukonXL for her so I reckon my average is still pretty high.

Any chance we can start a new forum for Nasty and Nebulous? This is getting a little sick.

Ha Ha. Just kidding. You guys have a merry xmas.

Dredgeking 12-25-2002 08:33 PM

spent a few bucks and got her a rolex.

26scarab 12-25-2002 10:28 PM

I didn't get too crazy this year, it wasn't really a good year moneywise.
She got a Tiffany bracelet , she had no clue that I knew she wanted one. I overheard her telling one of her friends a few months ago.
Wings tickets
A book she had been looking for and some perfume.
We've only been together for two years and I think it is just crazy to spend thousands on gifts unless it is something like a vacation.

wwwTOPDJcom 12-26-2002 12:42 AM

I took it easy this year, last chrismas was a new digital video camera and for her jan 20 birthday/ valintines day 1 carat princess cut , so this year the boats getting more POWER Damn it!

obnoxus 12-26-2002 04:41 AM

Ya know we used to spend thousands of dollars on eachother for Christmas and it bothered me. There was not alot of thought put into it, just running around trying to spend money on stuff we didnt want...... this year we put a limit of $1,000 each on eachother, put some thought into it and got things eachother really wanted. made for a better Chrismas I think.

NASTY HABIT 12-26-2002 07:08 AM

Yo Gator........we prefer the Penthouse Forum...:) We did end up getting a room though....;)

RCM255 12-26-2002 08:57 AM

xmas wise i only spent about $80
i'm still paying for the nice rock she got a couple months ago
in my mind it all evens out
probably not in hers though:eek:

mr_velocity 12-26-2002 02:08 PM

This year not much, figure the '01 Lexus LX470 I gave her for Christmas in '00 will keep me free from having to shop for a while. I did it just like the commercials too, took delivery Christmas Eve and left the truck in the driveway with a big red bow. Wrapped up a Lexus baseball cap which she opened and complained about how ugly it was. I told her it came with these and dropped the keys in her lap. Still took her a few minutes to figure out what was going on but when she did she burst into tears and ran out the front door.
Now the big question is how long can I keep this non-shopping going?

G-Force 12-26-2002 03:32 PM

I actually just counted how much I spent...OUCH!!
Big diamond pendant, leather coat, clothes, home furnishings....but as I look at my new Movado watch, slip on my new leather coat, and drive home today to play my new video game (and have my honey come and hand me a cold drink)...I figure she was worth every penny spent!

Oh yeah....should have seen what I got when I fist opened my eyes Christamas morning!!!:D :D :D ;) ;) ;)

Hope everyone had a great holiday!

BigMike 12-26-2002 05:33 PM

Diamond earrings, new cell phone, new computer, and a truck load of small stuff. All in all, a pretty easy year on the wallet.

Mike

Intolerant1 12-26-2002 08:34 PM

We cut way back this year as we are saving our pennies for a new home/farm. I would rather spend the $ on a getaway weekend then somthing I wont use a year from now anyway. How many people recall who gave them what last year or the year b4 anyway?
