Just bought my girlfriend a pair. She tried them last winter and loved them. You can get them fairly cheep. I got her a brand new pair for $200 and you can use your old ski boots.

we tried them last year at breckenridge . they were a blast .if we would have tried these first we might have gotten them instead of new skis. rent some

I have used them before and they are great. Fast and you had great control plus no polls. I did notice that they take a lot of time to get use to in all conditions and thats really true in ice. The only draw back I could see was the ice and lack of a good edge. But they are a blast..Good Luck

one other big advantage, they FIT in an overhead on a plane and in the trunk

But you need the ski boots?
