I look at it this way, would you let someone walk across th seats in you Ferrari or Porsche??? Tracking the dirt from the street?? Your boat costs as much if not more?? Maybe you have enough income that you can redo the interior every 2 years. Personally I take great pride when friends and strangers think my boat is right off the showroom floor. I don't mind it getting dirty, just draw the line when it can get scratched, or interior can be messed up. Will:rolleyes: |
So, who sells some non marking flat (no grooves) bottomed shoes that still offer traction?
The only thing I can think of is a pair of Moccasins. When they get "splash wet" they offer better traction than dry. comfortable, and very original and only cost 4.96 at walmart. just be sure to spray with lots of weatherproofing spray. |

I look at it this way, would you let someone walk across th seats in you Ferrari or Porsche???> Will, I know exactly what you are talking about. I was very proud of my Baja. It looked like it belonged in a showroom. I would stand on my head to get that last corner in the bilge area clean with a brush. I wiped the engines several times a year with wd 40. I kept the drives waxed. etc. etc. etc. It's just that I'm past that stage now. Maybe its because I am getting older. (Just turned 40) I really want my kids to enjoy themselves when we are out on the boat. That just does'nt happen when you have a floating Ferrari and three kids running in and out all day long. Fact: I love boating, not cleaning Oh yeah, I had a 911 for years. Finally sold it because it just an expensive shelf. There was always stuff sitting on it. Steve H |
Use your boat, live your life, have some fun, clean your carpet - if your worried about this ****, you aren't having enough fun.

Re: Shoes on boat or not?
I check the shoes out when the guests arive. If anybody has shoes on that will be a problem, I tell them why, and they are always cool about it.
Plus I put out towels where I expect people to step. No smoking ever. Drinking ok while in no wake or docked. Plus I don't ever invite stupid people, which helps with everything. I wear shoes while driving. Not while cleaning. |

Waterfoul, I've have problems with my feet and so I bought Birkenstocks for sandals and they have been a godsend. Over a hundred bucks for size 15 but well worth it. Anybody with a size 15 shoe can do what ever the f#$k he wants. |
