I am installing one in my boat now. From what I can tell this is the exact same system that many of the other use for less money. However, there are a lot of wires to connect and run throughout the boat. Racing communications makes a wireing harness for $600.
You can listen to the radio or cd, music is automatically muted when you speak. It can be hooked up to the VHF.
6 person stereo intercom was less than 300 bucks

I have talked and worked with several flight com. manufactures....they do very different things internally. not to mention very important things externally. if you have a windshield you maybe in luck?? even then your system will never work like it was designed to in a plane. there is a WIDE rage of stuff out there (both av and marine) and i have a TON of crap (some VERY expensive) sitting in boxes to show for it.
