In my own opinion, we as citizens have the right to vote, we vote the politicians that are in office supposedly they are our voice.
yet ive never been in favor of thier pay raises, or most of thier ideas, granted goverment is much more complicated than playing some board game and conquering all my beer drinking buddies.
The detainees in Cuba, does anyone care about them hell no, but our tax paying dollars are feeding them and putting a roof over their heads, how about the millions of dollars a days we spend on the war on terrorism, trust me ive seen some of the pics of boats we've suspected as terrorist, they look just like every other ship on the ocean on a given day, stopping terrorism will never happen, Nuking Iraq or North Korea as some would like to do will cause the destruction of us all, taking these people out of power will make who ever takes over a puppet regime.
there is no simply answer, but is it ever. thanks for all that have written in this thread, im glad it is not a pissing match.

Donzi38ZX,
Great post. Good capture of the emotion that I think we all share.

Now were talking. Why don't you rationally explain just what conservatives believe and post your list of who best represents conservatism. I'll try to find a liberal point of view that is rationally presented and we will be well on our way to a better understanding. In the mean time lets agree to quit name calling liberals and defining them according to Rush Limbo and the right wing press definitions. (Shall we explore the myth of the liberal press here or in another thread?)

If I understand your defense of Steve 1 correctly, are you saying his hate rants are the "opinion of well spoken conservatives?" One thing for sure, you can't argue with him.;)

Here is one of his debate team winners:

"Tom you see and know the word Liberal is a Cloak it’s the name these “Useful Idiots” in this country call them selves while toddling along behind their handlers.

Fidel Castro is a another Liberal forget the word communism Its liberalism and all the liberals love him BTW one look at Jesse Jackson and the Hollywood leftists and their fondness for Saddam and fidel

Now Joseph Stalin That was a Great Liberal! He said “Cut the legs of the tall to match the short” Right?

Only in this country the leg cutting is the redistribution of wealth Via Taxation and Social Programs.

Not mentioning the fact that the Prisons are full of Liberals who believe it is ok to acquire wealth without Well lets say “without working for it”. The felon vote LOL!

The Jews well lets say in the last thousand years they bred more for intelligence while their counter part over there married his cousin!

The proof like I said before would be Nobel Laureates in the hard sciences Right??? Between the two groups?"

Steve 1 01-20-2003 01:56 AM

Tom you mentioned JFK was he a liberal? No he was an Old style Democrat. About as far from a socialist (half a communist) as you could get.

Also your take on Hitler is Laughable he was a socialist is case you had not noticed!! The name Nazi’s definition! What is it???????????

You seem to disagree with my take on the Jewish and the Palestinian intelligence based on an observation! Again even in the Qur’an in referring to the Jews there is a passage that goes as follows rough translation = I made you best. Now you prove me wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ll tell you the difference between liberals and Conservatives as I see it!!
Engineer’s Technicians Mechanics to name a few deal with the Physical World the real world with things you touch!!

Now some of these Liberal life long pursuit rent control apartment seeking PhD’s and their group lets say live in a theoretical world one they create by their rules. Fairy land!

Example we (my side) live in an Entire world of absolutes I make a mistake a couple people get hurt or worse.

An Aircraft Engineer or a Mechanic makes a mistake hundreds of People go screaming to a horrible death… Get the picture!!!!!!

Now some By the same token a Liberal ******* Economist can be wrong his entire career and never lose his firkin Job!!

And just to show that I am not an entirely a bad guy!!

My oldest Son is in collage studying engineering since now days you get a Multicultural Experience I believe the ratio is 18:1 18 the clowns and 1 the American Professors I Told him that if he wanted to be a true Liberal he should pull a Point off his grade average and give it to someone who does not work hard/try and parties every night.

I got the point across!

Bush and Saddam

What do the liberals think Bush's ulterior motives are? He is already rich. He's been rich all his life. Certainly he doesn't want to put this great country that he has lived and continues to live such a good life in jeopardy just so that he can have more wealth.

Do the people who feel Bush is only after oil and wealth have any clue about history? Do you know what kind of man Saddam is?

Watch "Why can't they kill Saddam" on the History Channel if you want to learn something.

Saddam is a murderer, who's dictatorship is based on fear. He began his career by trying to assasinate the President of Iraq in a street high powered gun fight. Unsuccessful, he was jailed and in jail began to study how he would take control of the country. While imprisoned, a relative of his became the president, and Sadaam became his successor. Sadaam began his dictatorship in 1979. He will torture and brutally kill anyone who even speaks against him. The people of Iraq truly believe that even in their most private estates they don't dare speak or whisper disparaging words about Saddam for fear that he is monitoring their conversation at any time and any place. The penalty for speaking against him is removal of the tongue. Political opponents are hung. People whom he wishes to get information from are placed in rooms with liquid nitrogen being dropped from various pvc pipe outlets forcing them to run around the small room and avoid contact with the falling droplets until they confess.

Any man who addresses his public with a rifle or machine gun in his hand firing in the air is clearly a problem.

Do you think that Saddam has nothing to do with the disappearance of Osama Bin Laden?

Have we all forgotten that 3000 american civilians died in NYC?

Sadaam should have been taken out in 1991 and I'm sure George Bush would like to have done it. But we lacked the resources at the time after the mission (keeping Saddam out of Kuwait) was accomplished. In addition, there is no way anyone in america would support invading Iraq in 1991, because the american public didn't understand the threat. Post Sept. 11, people still don't understand that threat, so how could it be understood in 1991.

One more thing regarding left vs. right. Democrats always make the argument that once republicans take office, the economy falls, we become involved in wars, poverty and unemployment rises. How ignorant is that.

Do the democrats really believe that the changes that republicans make begin to change the world overnight? What is going on today is a result of 8 years with Clinton in office. Everything looked rosey during the Clinton administration because of 8 years of republicans in office. Clinton's weak foreign policy, retreating from Somalia and Yemen, and not retaliating for the first trade center bombing demonstrated the US has no backbone. Clinton is largely responsible for the attacks on the Trade Center and the state of the union today. He understaffed and weakened the CIA to the point of no return, allowing names and photographs to be published with the media. Does anyone really understand the nature of a CIA agent's job? It's as dangerous as it gets!

Hans Blix - what a joke. 30 years and he has never found a weapon of mass destruction. He gave N. Korea a clean bill of health. How are 7 UN inspectors going to find something that a dictator of 20+ years has hidden in his own country. Do you know how big Iraq is? "Let the inpectors do their job" the liberals say. Well their job is a failure and always will be. Why haven't they been doing their job over the past 11 years? or the past 30 years for that matter.

A little something to back me up.

Ronald Reagan:

Ronald Reagan won the Republican Presidential nomination in 1980 and chose as his running mate former Texas Congressman and United Nations Ambassador George Bush. Voters troubled by inflation and by the year-long confinement of Americans in Iran swept the Republican ticket into office. Reagan won 489 electoral votes to 49 for President Jimmy Carter.

On January 20, 1981, Reagan took office. Only 69 days later he was shot by a would-be assassin, but quickly recovered and returned to duty. His grace and wit during the dangerous incident caused his popularity to soar.

Dealing skillfully with Congress, Reagan obtained legislation to stimulate economic growth, curb inflation, increase employment, and strengthen national defense. He embarked upon a course of cutting taxes and Government expenditures, refusing to deviate from it when the strengthening of defense forces led to a large deficit.

A renewal of national self-confidence by 1984 helped Reagan and Bush win a second term with an unprecedented number of electoral votes. Their victory turned away Democratic challengers Walter F. Mondale and Geraldine Ferraro.

In 1986 Reagan obtained an overhaul of the income tax code, which eliminated many deductions and exempted millions of people with low incomes. At the end of his administration, the Nation was enjoying its longest recorded period of peacetime prosperity without recession or depression.

In foreign policy, Reagan sought to achieve "peace through strength." During his two terms he increased defense spending 35 percent, but sought to improve relations with the Soviet Union. In dramatic meetings with Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, he negotiated a treaty that would eliminate intermediate-range nuclear missiles. Reagan declared war against international terrorism, sending American bombers against Libya after evidence came out that Libya was involved in an attack on American soldiers in a West Berlin nightclub.

By ordering naval escorts in the Persian Gulf, he maintained the free flow of oil during the Iran-Iraq war. In keeping with the Reagan Doctrine, he gave support to anti-Communist insurgencies in Central America, Asia, and Africa.

Overall, the Reagan years saw a restoration of prosperity, and the goal of peace through strength seemed to be within grasp.

Caught the show, "Why can't they kill Saddam". It was really a good show with lots of points about the history of Saddam and why you see him all the time in Iraq.

Not a very nice man, surely a dictator.

William Clinton: ( a disgrace )

Clinton became the 42nd U.S. president following a turbulent political campaign. He overcame vigorous personal attacks on his character and on his actions during the Vietnam War, which he actively opposed. The “character issue” stemmed from allegations of infidelity, which Clinton refuted in a television interview in which he and Hillary avowed their relationship was solid. Throughout his term in office, Clinton was dogged by allegations relating to the Whitewater real estate deal in which he and Hillary were involved prior to the 1992 election. Though the Clintons were never accused of any wrongdoing, partners in the venture were convicted of fraud and conspiracy in a trial in 1996.

Congress approved a waiting period for handgun purchases (the Brady Bill), and a national service program.

(Hello liberals, criminals don't use legally registered guns to commit crimes. In fact when you outlaw guns like semi automatic rifles, their owners are more likely to keep them illegally rather than turn them in for a measly $50 bucks. Those illegal guns then get sold on the black market and used in crimes.)

In 1996, aided by a booming economy, Clinton won reelection to a second term, becoming the first Democratic president since Franklin D. Roosevelt to do so.

(Booming economy because of residual Reaganomics)

However, the character issues that had followed Clinton for years soon began to emerge once again. A series of investigations was begun to determine whether Clinton and Vice President Gore had participated in questionable fund-raising practices in their 1996 campaign.

As his tenure wore on, Clinton came under increasing pressure from Kenneth Starr, the independent counsel who in 1994 took over the investigation of the Clintons' involvement in the Whitewater land deal. Over time, Starr's brief was expanded to include other matters, such as the death of White House lawyer Vincent Foster, the handling of firings in the White House travel office, and shocking allegations of sexual misconduct by Clinton.

(And the left thinks Bush is seeking control of oil??? Look at this greedy, power hungry moron. It's proven, and we don't even have to get into infidelity)

In Jan. 1998, Clinton was called to testify in a long-pending sexual harassment suit brought against him by Paula Corbin Jones, a former Arkansas state employee. In his testimony, Clinton denied that he had had a sexual relationship with a young White House intern, Monica Lewinsky, and that he had attempted to cover it up. Although a federal judge in Arkansas threw out the Jones sexual harassment suit in April 1998, by this time the Lewinsky affair had become the focus of Kenneth Starr's investigation as well as a national obsession.

Finally, on Aug. 17, 1998, after relentless media attention, leaks, and news of Lewinsky's upcoming testimony, Clinton made history by becoming the first U.S. president to testify in front of a grand jury in an investigation of his own possibly criminal conduct. In an address to the nation that evening, he admitted to having had an “inappropriate relationship” with Lewinsky, but reaffirmed that he did not ask anyone to lie about or cover up the affair.

Paradoxically, however, in spite of the scandalous outcome of events, Clinton's overall popularity among Americans remained high. The country seemed willing to ignore his weaknesses in character, much as they did in the 1992 elections, as long as the economy was good, his policies were popular, and the United States remained strong abroad.

On Sept. 9, Starr—a conservative Republican whose investigation was seen by Clinton supporters as a politically inspired vendetta—delivered his report to the House of Representatives. While the report outlined 11 possible grounds for impeachment, none stemmed from the initial subjects of the investigation, including the Whitewater real estate deal. The real focus of the accusations seemed to be Clinton's moral conduct, and the “Starr Report” graphically detailed his sexual affair.

Despite the American population's general disapproval of a trial (which was reflected in poll after poll), Congress moved forward in its highly partisan impeachment proceedings and on Dec. 19, Clinton became the second president in American history to be impeached. Two of the four articles of impeachment passed (Article I, grand jury perjury, and Article III, obstruction of justice), the votes drawn along party lines. After a Senate trial in Jan.–Feb. 1999, Clinton was acquitted on both counts.

(actually I guess we have to go into his infidelity - THE SAME PUBLIC WHO TRUSTED THIS MAN NOW DOUBT'S THE MOTIVES OF GEORGE W. BUSH - with no support for the argument).

While the impeachment trial overshadowed all other activity in Washington for a good portion of 1998, Clinton was forced to respond to continued problems with Iraq at the end of the year. In December, Saddam Hussein blocked a weapons inspection by the United Nations. The UN responded with airstrikes that would continue on a nearly daily basis for the next three months, and then off and on through the spring and summer, as Iraq taunted the U.S. and its allies further by shooting at jets patrolling the no-fly zones set up after the Persian Gulf war.

(SO BUSY DEFENDING HIS CHARACTER, SADDAM WAS IGNORED - THIS IS WHY WE ARE IN THIS POSITION TODAY.)

On Jan. 19, 2001, the day before he left office, Clinton agreed to a five-year suspension of his Arkansas law license and his paying of a $25,000 fine to the Arkansas Bar Association. In exchange, Kenneth Starr's successor, Robert Ray, agreed to close the Whitewater probe, ending the threat of criminal liability for Mr. Clinton after he left office.

George W. Bush:

Bush has earned a reputation as a compassionate conservative who shapes policy based on the principles of limited government, personal responsibility, strong families and local control.

President Bush is pursuing the same common-sense approach and bipartisan spirit that he used in Texas. He has proposed bold initiatives to ensure that America's prosperity has a purpose. He has also addressed improving our nation's public schools by strengthening local control and insisting on accountability; reducing taxes on <b>all taxpayers</b>, especially for those Americans on the fringes of poverty; strengthening the military with better pay, better planning, and better equipment; saving and strengthening Social Security and Medicare by providing seniors with more options; and ushering in the responsibility era in America.

Tom 01-20-2003 09:24 PM

Like I said no argument from me about Steve's post. As a matter of fact I can't figure out what he said. ;) The list of crimes; is this something Rush Limbo put together? $40,000,000 and Ken Starr's highly partisan witch hunt and they couldn't pin one of them. The only one that sticks is on the blue dress.;) "Two of the four articles of impeachment passed (Article I, grand jury perjury, and Article III, obstruction of justice), the votes drawn along party lines. After a Senate trial in Jan.–Feb. 1999, Clinton was acquitted on both counts." Bill Clinton is not a Liberal, he is a centrist who upset the liberals by turning the Democrats into Repug lite.

at100plus,
Thanks for your clear posts. I'm still not clear on what exactly the main beliefs of conservatives are, but am I correct in assuming that Reagan and Bush II are the best examples? Am I also correct in assuming that you are arguing for the conservative point of view?

I'm not sure I am a Liberal, but will take that side just to keep things interesting. I propose we try to work out a list of attributes that are held by representatives starting at the far left, middle of the road liberals, centrist liberals, centrist conservatives, middle of the road conservatives, far right conservatives. Personally I tend to agree with the centrists of both sides. I lean toward the left on social issues (keep the government out of my stash and my wife) and right on financial issues (keep them out of my checkbook too).

I don't believe the middle of the road of either side is the evil that they are made out to be. I also don't believe that they are in so much disagreement as pertains the need for getting rid of terrorists and dictators. Perhaps the way of achieving it is a subject of heated debate, but neither side is the enemy. The sooner we work on understanding and finding consensus amongst ourselves is the sooner we are united against the true enemy.

I have not had the time, but I will try to find a rational presentation of what the left of center believes and a few examples of who best represents that point of view. Does anybody know the difference between a right wing extremest and a left wing extremest? Is it a circle where they both meet and the opposite side is the centrists?

Ted G 01-20-2003 10:05 PM

Lots of luck on that centrist liberal pundit there Tom. It seems that the only lefties we hear from are the Kennedys, Jacksons, Ms Clintoon and the rest. Oh we might hear old in-the-pocket Tom Daschle come out and sound very even and mellow while trying to undermine everything that the centrist-right President trys to do. But usually it is the same old shrill bleating-"the Republicans are going to dirty the air, starve old people, starve children, kill minorities, blah,blah,blah.....ad infinitem.

And just for clarification-Bill Clintoon was not a centrist, he was a scum bag that would take any or all positions that would help HIM, not the country, not his party, no one but HIM. Personally I think the Republicans owe him a huge debt of gratitude. When he came to town the D's had the WH, House, and Senate. After all the disgusting bullsh*t that he and his pals pulled and brought with them to Washington, the R's have it all. Even though the D's have broken the law, made a mockery of the election laws, and turned funerals into pep rallys, the people have decided they need adults in charge, not a bunch of petulant children.

Tom 01-20-2003 10:21 PM

Looks like I'll probably have to research and express the view for the conservatives too.;)

at100plus 01-20-2003 11:00 PM

You got that right

And I'll say it again. Clinton was about Clinton. Both Mr. and Mrs. Clinton.

Far left:

Jesse Jackson -(RACIST)
Al Sharpton
Alan Colmes
The Clintons, but they only went to the far left because they thought it would benefit them the most.

They do nothing but seek the support of non thinking people who are not intelligent enough to understand the facts if they were presented. They use catch phrases like racial profiling and war monger to attract the support of people who have good intentions but just don't know what they are talking about.

Affirmative Racism

It's about time this one came to light -

I have been saying this for years. "It is just as bad to hire someone or admit them to a school by looking only at thier race as it is to refuse their employment or enrollment by looking only at race.

"Judge a man by the content of his character, not the color of his skin" MLK Jr.

I think Affirmative Action has gone beyond it's intended goal. You can't solve racism with racism.

George Bush is the first to address this in years and without fearing the ramifications of potential political incorrectness.

Good Job George W. Bush

Thank you so much for the links. When someone said "Tom, you don't have a freekin clue!" I had no idea how true that was. It was one of the most amazing times I have had following links and learning so much about what it means to be a conservative.

Before tonight I could not understand how you could be so pissed. When I searched to find out why I had been using the wrong keywords. The best I could find was http://www.patches.net/ and I couldn't figure out what the big deal was. It all makes sense to me now and there is no point in trying to raise the level of discourse. I am so sorry if I offended anyone with my ignorance.

ITS HARD TO SIT HERE AND READ POSTS FROM PEOPLE WHO PROBABLY HAVE NEVER SERVED THIS COUNTRY AND PUT THEIR LIFE IN JEOPARDY NOT TO MENTION LOST A FAMILY MEMBER TO ONE OF THESE SELF PROCLAIMED AMERICAN ENEMY THAT WOULD NOT HESISTATE TO KILL YOU OR YOUR FAMILY .WHERE DO YOU GET THE NERVE TO CRITICIZE AND UNDERMINE A GOVERNMENT THAT WE OURSELVES ELECTED AS A MAJORITY. A GOVERNMENT THAT REGARDLESS OF HOW MANY FAULTS IT MAY HAVE ITS STILL "OUR" GOVERNMENT.WHAT HAS MADE THE UNITED STATES THE GREATEST NATION ON THE PLANET???AND YET PROBABLY THE MOST HATED--AND THEN AGAIN THE MOST RESPECTED...OUR ENEMYS KNOW THAT THE GREATEST THREAT TO THE UNITED STATES IS OUR OWN PEOPLE.. THEREFORE THEY INFILTRATE AND POISON THE VERY ESSENCE OF OUR BEING AND THAT IS UNITY-AND UNTIL WE AS A PEOPLE CAN REALLY JOIN TOGETHER AS ONE NATION UN-DIVIDED CAN THEN WE REALISE THE POWER OF THIS GREAT COUNTRY..REMEMBER JUST BECAUSE YOU LIVE HERE DOESNT REALLY MAKE YOU AN AMERICAN..ASK YOURSELF,DO I LOVE THIS COUNTRY?OR AM I JUST HERE OUT OF CONVENIENCE?WELL.

Ted G 01-21-2003 07:49 AM

While I have never been a huge believer in all the Clinton death lists(and I have seen some of them disproven), you really have to think about your own life and the people you know. Does anyone know this many people that have died in unusual circumstances and/or committed suicide?? I mean a lot of them are a stretch, but just look at the ones close. It is a sad fact that people seem to die around Billybob and his wife(pal, partner, worst enemy??) and that there has to be something more to it than swimmer stains on a blue dress. The fact that the impeachment proceedings went nowhere is a political reality, not a legal one. And Tom, when you talk about how pissed conservatives get, you're right, Bill and Hill used this country and the presidency like a toilet. This is what made them the focus of all the disgust from the Right. And in all honesty a lot of that disgust starts with the leadership of the Republican party. I mean, it's like a bunch of Keystone cops, always doing stupid stuff when things are looking up. Frankly if the R's were as politically savvy as some of the D's advisors, the D's would be heading the way of the Whig party or the Greens.

" Democrats regularly insult the intelligence of half the public in order to win the votes of the terminally stupid, As long as their lies bamboozle enough clods to give them a Political edge. They will say absolutely anything. The easily Demagogued are a key Democratic constitucency, right after the Steely-eyed Zealots."

What would these guys think

powerqrudy 01-21-2003 09:47 AM

wow..you guy can really type. that would take me all day.

I rarely side with Cat but he has a good point.

We have to take out Bin laden...let alone find him then kill him.

Next get Sadham...

after these two things are taken care of then I believe it wil be a sucess. Kennedy was a Great Democrat...but he would be barred from the Democrat party today wanting to give tax cut!!!! he was the last of the good democrats. These libs today are dividers and mean!! George Clooney riping on old Charleton Heston because he is pationate about his cause???? ..when was the last time tyou saw a liberal smiling...Ok sorry Katie Couric.

GREAT ARGUMENT THOUGH!!!!!!

I think everyone would agree that doing one thing at a time is easier, but it just is not realistic. Bin Laden is one man amongst a planet with Billions. Talk about your needle in a haystack. He also may be in a tomb of rock somewhere in Afghanistan. The point is yes we have to keep hunting Al Qaeda. But this could take years and probably will. Saddam is a threat today, and I'm certain more than we will know till the history books reveal the truth. Blair and Bush know more than they are telling because they are supposed to know more. It is not in our best interest for them to show the enemy their hand. In today's world of CNN you can't share info with the citizens of this country without telling your enemy what we know. Why is this so hard for people to grasp? The public DOES NOT have a right to know everything all the time. We do know he is shooting at our planes daily, isn't that enough? We do know he killed and poisoned his own people, isn't that enough? We do know he is in violation of more UN resolutions than you can shake a stick at, isn't that enough? Or do we have to wait until he attacks another neighbor or supplies a terrorist with biological or chemical weapons that we do know he had and know he is capable of producing and, based on the inspections that Clinton the incompetent let stop, he has not accounted for the destruction of the chemical/biological weapons the inspectors found when they were there 8 years ago. Come on people, it is time to wake up.

Steve 1 01-21-2003 12:19 PM

Why do we need to take out Saddam Hussein!!

WHY !! Because has attacked a sovereign Nation Kuwait,BTW I was there and saw what he did along with raping its women and killing its men, shot missiles at Tel Aviv and Riyadh, burned oil wells creating the worst environmental disaster in history of Man’s Earth, and used chemical and biological weapons against human beings in his own country...

he would have no problem using those weapons against Israel or us.... Yes I mean you Liberals too! The United States... and has threatened to do so.

North Korea says it will go to war with the US but in reality it is incapable of fighting that WAR. Or doing anything!! Much like a. Chihuahua trying to stop charging Rino !!

Steve 1 01-21-2003 12:22 PM

Cat when exactly did Bush let Bin Laden Go Free ???????????

It was Clinton do your homework!!

Also thanks for that Chinese Mess he caused ole Slick again.

blown formula 01-21-2003 02:39 PM

I cannot understand where the statement that we are getting rich off the other countries could come from. We spend more outside the US than in, no country has EVER paid back any loans from the USA, most countries accept OUR foriegn aid, and the World Bank continually makes loans that are never repaid. WTF??? I seems the European & mideast countries are more of a "sponge" to absorb wealth than to hold or create it (except the oil Shiek's). We are a debtor nation ,,, 10's of millions a day to the Arabs for oil....

 Isn't the notion of foriegn aid from the Democrats? As far as this country goes, we have just come off of the lowest unemployment in ages and we still had poverty. We will always have poverty, you can lead a horse to water....

Wow Cat, you never cease to amaze. Now you are a left wing, atheist, John Burch Society member....how do all your political personalities live in the same cranium????

Great

Tom - I'm glad you are objective enough to look to reason.

If you or anyone else tetering on the top of the wall from left to right needs to learn from hard facts, turn on the Fox News Channel. Particularly O'Reilly and Sean Hannity. They are brilliant. I have been home sick now for 3 days, and I don't think my television has left this channel.

Some great arguments here by the way.

.

Catmando - You made this statement but like most liberals, you didn't back it up with anything........"The Bushmen have been bad for this nation and bad for the world. We will send them back to Kennebunkport" How have they been bad for this world?

at100plus 01-21-2003 05:22 PM

Now that I read back

Catmando also said

I will do anything within legality to defeat George Bush. I will walk the neighborhoods, knock on the doors, man the Democrat phone banks, walk the malls, whatever
What on earth are you talking about???? Liberal gibberish. All those activities do nothing but spread the baseless factually unsupported liberal bandwagon of garbage.

Do you think George Bush is the enemy? Do you think he is interested in more wealth or becoming a dictator? How realistic is that possibility? It's not. If anyone is guilty of that it would be the Clintons (if you don't think so, read some of the posts and links I provided above).

How about cracking open a history book. Learn about people like Sadaam Hussein who have professional rapists on his federal staff.

Look at history, look at the history of Sadaam Hussein, he's not stupid. He is playing the liberals of the US, France and Germany. He knows that he can buy himself time. He has done it before. He's been doing it for almost 25 years. He is firing at our military aircraft every day, 4 tons of nerve gas and other weapons are unaccounted for, if he develops the means, he would like to take us out be it with large scale weapons, chemical/biological weaponry, or funding and backing multiple hard core terrorist attacks. Fact is - he wants us dead, and if we continue to give him the time and opportunities to find a way to do it. HE WILL!

Just my .02 worth.
The only reason that the U.S.A. has not been directly attacked by another country is because every redneck, chew spittin, self respecting American has a smokepole(firearm) in his/her home.
Russia found out how tough it is to fight a "Dug-in" local "redneck"
in Afganistan sp.? They got their ass kicked by these rag heads!
If we don't want to fight these fu------- here we have to kick their ass now over there and send the ones that are here home in a box!!!!!!!!!!!
"Be the first one on your block to send a rag head home in a box"
Just a modified version of an old song I used to sing to myself years ago.
If your'e old enough you'll know what I mean. If your'e not ask a VET.
No disrespect intended.
But you CAN NOT REASON WITH A RELIGIOUS RADICAL!
and this is a religious war as far as the "ragheads" are concerned. Fight the war when you can win easily, don't wait till it is a challenge to test your skills.
Even school yard rules taught you this!
There I feel Better. How's that for your money's worth

Tinkerer 01-21-2003 07:02 PM

You rate people on their inability to pronounce a few words but You say nothing about all the EVIL's that the Clinton's did.
Sadam doesn't need an army he has the terrorists to do his work. All he has to do is give the weapons to the terrorists and they will put them where they will do the most harm.

You have got to be kidding me.

When was the last time you saw 3037 american civilians in one place. Do you know how many people that is? It's just a number until you really look at 3037 of something. That's how many families have to think about the perilous death of their loved ones. Imagine your wife calling you from a cellphone on the 90th floor telling you she doesn't think she's going to get out, and that's the last time you spoke to her. 3037 families are living without their wives, mothers, fathers, sons and daughters.

Do you think Sadaam Hussein had nothing to do with that attack? Where to you think Usama is today? My guess is, Sadaam knows.

If Iraq had nuclear war heads pointed in our direction, we would at least have something tangible to deal with. It's the hidden threat, and the infiltrating enemy that lives within our own borders funded by religioius fanatic brutal dictators like Sadaam that are a danger to us. I'll remind you again of Sept. 11, 2001 and other forgotten attacks - Yemen, Kenya US Embassy, 1993 World Trade attack, TODAY an American civilian working in Kuwait was gunned down in his car.

(pardon George's pronunciation of nuclear but if that's the worst criticism you can make about his character, that's fine with me).

North Korea is clearly looking for more money from the good old US. They are taking advantage of a sensitive time, a time when they know we won't take immediate action because we are commited to Iraq. They are bluffing and trying to blackmail us for our aid. They want more money and more oil from us.

I demand that you to watch the History channel. "Why can't we Kill Sadaam" is an excellent documentary that will explain the dictator with whom we are dealing.

OK, this argument Cracks me up ..we are the richest country but we have millions in poverty...OK, like we have spent 9 trillion on the GREAT SOCIETY...and we have more poor than we did years ago...wow that is a great liberal plan. Show me one liberal plan that has worked???? Just one.. that is all I ask. These arguments are fun!!!!

I can't believe I'm doing this but I am going to defend this statement. There are two plans that I believe have fundamentally worked for several decades. Granted they are in dire need of updating to sustain themselves but they have helped millions of Americans for many years and they are......social security and medicare. Helping to plan for our citizens retirement and healthcare was a good plan. Now that being said I can't think of another :D :D
