Default HP 500 EFI Starter

How difficult is it to replace/fix.

One of mine just grinds away without engaging.

Thanks for any advice.

Which engine, port or starboard?
(I'm assuming there side by side,
not staggered)
If it's the port, you will most likely
have to remove the r.h. header, to
gain enough access.
Starboard, depends on engine room
layout, some times you can fish it out
without removing the header.
Like jeff has said, hope it's not a ring
gear problem, engine must come out.
