Platinum is in the process of building a Poker Run Rage cat in house. Not sure if it's a #6 or BPM hull. It will be interesting to see how that boat turns out. Considering Jim's spent an awful lot of time around Tencara cats, I have a feeling construction will be top notch.
I'm curious to see what they end up doing with the cockpit layout.
Can't wait until they start building more Tencaras.

Always going to be a Skater for me but after the way the MTI's performed in Key West this year they are right up there with the Skaters if not better.

So, what would you do if you wanted a cat, but couldn't afford a Skater and/or didn't want to wait for one?
How would you choose between Spectre, Motion, Jaguar, Eliminator (I can guess your reaction there
), Hustler/Talon, Doug Wright (sp?)), AMT, Nortech?Perhaps this begs a new thread, what to look for in evaluating a cats performance, handling, ride, etc. for new owners.
Also, what makes a Skater better than all others? The Platinum, MTI and Jaguar in particular have proven themselves on the race course. So have Spectre, Motion and AMT. Nortech is generating rave reviews from owners. What differentiates Skater from all others? I for one don't have enough technical knowledge to understand the differences. Of course, it is also a limiting factor in that all of my cat rides have been in Skaters. So, I cannot comment on the characteristics of these others even though I have seen them in the water. Can you offer a brief education beyond what you've written on the "Great Moments in Cat History" thread?
Thanks.

Though, in all fairness, I believe I read somewhere that you said the 36 Nortech was impressive enough that YOU'D OWN ONE! .... (miller runs off to search the archives while everyone holds their collective breaths...)

But.........
I actually own a Skater.
The question here is "Highest Quality Cat builder?" not "most beautiful"....not "best near miss"..... not "highest quality compromised for price....or delivery time"....... not "most bling"......... certainly not "best California awkward wannabe"
So my answer remains...simply..... and elegantly.

Good answer.
By the way, how fast has your Skater run now that you've had time to dial it in? Those 28 hulls are wicked cool the way they run. I'd love to have one some day.

The GPS is sitting on 121 and change.........
We never really went after cool weather speed as an internationally famous, world champion throttlegremlin , who shall remain nameless, cobbled my props in early October. When we get some decent weather in March and April.....I will try some new wheels and other ideas. I believe a buck and a quarter is very do-able.
