Highest Quality Cat Builder?

I would also add Titan Powerboats by Larry Goldman @ Xtreme Marine to the list of more affordable cats. This boat has a longer running sufface than the 32 Spectre and even has a cabin. It also looks really cool. Larry said the boat will run over a 100 with stock 496's.

and pound for pound......the 28 Skater/300x's is a stout piece.
I laugh at the number of "130-150" mph boats that it leaves in its wake. I especially love big vee bottoms with superchargers......... all that noise and spray....... all that hardware...all that gas guzzling....... all that dismay when the GPS stops abruptly at 90-100.

But the bang for the buck with the 28 Skater is just phenomenal, especially when looking at used versions.

From looking at the poll results, it looks like this line-up of boats is being voted on by popularity and who owns what, rather than actual build quality. After all, who's really to say which Mfg. is best?

i have to love how this thread and others like it pop back up and come back to life. OSO has some great threads like this that are continuously updated.

License To Thrill,
Nortech had a 36 cat running in Super Cat Lite for the past two years. While it is a beautiful boat and seen at many of Poker Runs nationwide it did not size up to the rest of the competition it ran against. Many attempts but not a winning combination. As far as them having another raceboat out there this year I am not sure. The 36 is forsale in the classified section on this board. Would be really kool to see Nortech make another attempt in Offshore Racing. The more out there the better the competition.
