Pretty simple but sounds good to me.
Sony CDX-700 tuner 4 Kenwood 6x9's 4 way 2 Kenwood 10's 1 Kenwood 1000 watt amp (pushing 10's) 1 Kenwood unknown power 4 channel amp (pushing 6x9) 2 dedicated deep cycle batteries just for the stereo. Plan on adding a dash and transom remote. Also an alternator upgrade sometime. This set up is half the cost of whats in my truck but probably hits 3x as hard. When running usually don't bother with the stereo, listen to exhaust sing. Wet Pleasure - What ups. Hope to see you at KY Lake Memorial day. If not then see at the river this summer. |

Amps PPI PC2150 running 3 alpine pro 10's in the cabin,PPI PC450 running 4 Mb Quart NKD116,cockpit. 2 Boston componets in the cabin off deck power 52watts. Have another PPI PC6600 sitting idle,waiting for 6 more speakers!
Performance gains are more important at the moment. :D |

Does anyone have an opinion on audioban(spelling) equipment. I have never heard of it, but that is what MTI uses in the new stuff. And how does it compare with say Kicker speakers. Thanks gus.

Another boater on here that I know locally has JL amps and subs in his Sonic. They sound pretty awesome. PPI makes good amps too. I had a pair of those in my old boat and they never skipped a beat... |

I need some advice. If audiobahn(spelling) is bad. What do you suggest. I want a nice system but it doesn't have to be the best. I have a couple of amps from my previous system that worked great, will they be ok for the new one, they are both Kenwood, KAC-Q74- I used for 4 coaxal, and a KAC-606 used for the subs.
I need a single din head unit that will play dvd's, I was looking at JVC KD-AVX1 or Alpine DVA-9860. What do you think of these units or brand, I also need advice for 2 sets of cockpit speakers and subs. HELP. :drink: |

I'd go with the Alpine for a head unit.
For speakers, Kicker makes a pretty nice marine component set this year. Those sound pretty awesome. |

For the components, KM625.2
For the woofers, it depends on your boat. If you can build an enclosure, I'd get something like JL Audio 10W3's, or if you can't build an encosure, but have a compartment that's closed off, you could use the free-air Kicker Marine 10" woofers: 06KM10. I've got 4 of the 06KM10's in my 25' Outlaw under the rear bench. It's not completely sealed, but there are no open spots. The woofers could sound better, but they're alright. The grills for the woofers and components match, and you could probably paint them. They are grey from the factory... |

ASG: I got some questions for you:
Who did your system? I need an amp rack like yours, was it custom fabricated? Is the capacitor 15 farad or 1.5? Are the Optima batteries hooked into the motors charging system with an isolator? Lastly, do the Optimas have their own 110 batter chargers? Thanx for any info. |
