Default Fuel?

Fuel consumption? Is that important? This is a go-fast boat, we don't ask those questions. Cruising, which is about 55-60mph, they will use about 13-16 gph....each....normal 250 efi's are only slightly better at cruise if at all. The 250XS's may be a few gallons better, but they are so new, that is yet to be shown.

I knew I would get flamed on the fuel question. I was just curious how it would compare to my blown big block I have currently? Thanks for the tips guys!

I have been on one like Brad said. With 250 merc Saltwater motors the boat would run 72 on gps (on a freshwater lake). The boat starts to get real light at around 68. With the fold away bimini open the damn boat almost becomes airborne. Very fun boat. I would be a little leary of anything more than twin 250s.
The Concept is a great combination Center Console/SportBoat.

Thumbs up

You are right, the 30 can get flighty, they are a light boat to begin with. The do not need a lot of positive trim to get good speed. But you do need to run the trim tabs level with the bottom or slightly down. Keep the bimini closed for top speed, let alone that is creates lift(don't want that), eventually it will shred the bimini if you drive it fast all the time.

They are a fun boat to drive....especially for a c/c! It will take some sportboats by surprise, especially most of the stock engine Baja's running around.

I agree Mike with the flighty attitude. My buddy who has the Concept always runs with alot of trim.

Mike, are you guys selling alot of Concepts since you picked them up? They really are great boats from what I see. Great Graphics, Offshore Controls, and you can just hose it out when your done play'n.

Dont forget that the 2.5 wont charge the batts like the other motors. that will be a big concern on that type of boat. just my 2 cents
