Look the main suppliers of the Iraqis were the Russians and Chinese with some North Korean munitions also. Like $.25 hand grenades.
While swimming at an Ex Iraqi fortified Island I saw that all the anti aircraft Ammo there came from Jordan!!Gee not America !!
most of the Iraqi equipment I saw in Kuwait was Chinese made as a matter of fact I had a Restroom/urinal that I used on the Saudi Highway that was a blasted Chinese tank that I pissed on not an American tank gee wizz!!
So pull what few brain cells you have together and think a little before you make a bigger fool of yourself.
The 24 chopper's they sent with commandos to kill the Kuwaiti Emir all Russian not an American piece in sight..
the Iraqis had the 4'th largest military power at the time that would be in the hundreds of billions I would imagine.

Cash, the problem with your info is that in the past you have blantanly disregarded the truth, time and time again. Additionally, I have a hard time beleiving much of what the NY or LA Times or the Washington Post say about anything political. They themselves will tell you they are hard core liberal. JUst watch CNN....if you pay attention to what is actually happpening then watch CNN there is a slant that should be ILLEGAL!! It's unreal, the truth is constantly misrepesented by you guys, over and over and over.....
I know nothing about arms deals in the 80's nor do I care. The world has changed so much from that time. Deals were created with allies who are now enemies. Look at your own life, how much it has changed in 20 years....then throw worldly politics into the mix. I don't claim to be a political expert, I claim to be reality and practical expert.
Here is what I do know however, the hard left people generally misrespresent the truth and use scare tactics, lies and utopian idealism (which is horribly impractical) to urge their message. IT's a true shame. The democratic party of the 60's would have never put up with these tyrants and murdering dictators like Sudamm. JFK would have de-cleated this guy on Sept 12th-01. For whatever reason the dem party has gradually become so liberal that they are teetering on socialism. It's very confusing to try to figure out why or what happened. It's really sad. They are losing touch with the principles of our great nation.
We all want world peace. We all want to rid the earth of disease and crime and neglect. We all wish that people in our country were not killed everyday driving to and from work, and that children were not kidnapped daily, never to be seen again. We wish all these things, but the sad truth is THAT IS NOT REALITY. Sometimes you are faced with things you wish you could bypass or ignore (like Clinton sdid with Bin Laden), but that is not reality....that is not what men do, that is not right. You have to fight evil, especially when it threatens your family and freedoms.
Say what you want about Steve1, he is one of the most traveled and worldly educated members we have. I am glad he is here to share his experiences and tell it like it is.
