Default What to do with my dash??????

This dash is driving me crazy. What I want to do is put my Gaffrig Zero Efforts to the side, in front of the bolsters (old ones shown, new ones on the way.) I also need to add trim indicators (starting to teach my girlfriend how to drive and it will help if she can just look over and see that everything is were it should be. I also want to get the dated look out of this thing. Anyone have any ideas? I figure no better time then the present as I have the whole dash torn up anyhow. The one piece that is not there now that will be there is a vertical piece that will go up to the fairing. This will hold my speakers and also my GPS unit.

This is a closer shot. I also want to move the wheel up a little higher but that is not so critical. I can live with the current location.

Jon, look in the Gaffrig catalog, they make a pod that you can mount on the gunnel and them mount your controls in that. Or you can make your own pod out of leftover Nicor.
Then your indicators can go where your controls are now.

Call me, Jon, and I will give you some easy instructions on building a female mold for any type of mounting area for the controls that you want to make. Made from melamine shelving MDF and modeling clay for the radiuus edges.. Had new engine hatches laid up in molds such as these. bob N. 303-674-1607.

ren - How about sharing some of you knowledge with all of us? Next winters project is going to be a lighter motor cover my boat and it sounds like you've got the knowledge and experience to do the job.

Got any pictures and some explanations?

Thanks!
