you guy's missed the question and the point.

i never said if the gear was cracked swap it. i said if you do 50 -100 hours and everthing is in good shape swap it. it will make them last longer and wear the gears even. i will agree with shifter leave the lower units in the same place just swap the upper gear housings. i forgot i did that.
