Rebuilt my engine last spring and took it out for Memorial Day weekend. Runs great for a couple of hours and then I see the bilge pumping like crazy. Freak out and put the throttle down to get back to the ramp. Boat starts losing power, ass starts sinking, then stalls. Open the hatch and have water everywhere but no signs of it coming in. Wife and sister in law are freaked!!Get towed to the closest dock and crank the engine........forgot to tighten one of the hose clamps on the thermostat housing so I am pumping water in as fast as the raw water pump 'll go. Salt all over the new engine took hours to clean up.

I did it one............. It was in my brand new MasterCraft. Lots of water before I new it. Luckly the plug is in the belly of the boat right under the motor andy easy to put in. I did have to buy a new starter a few months later

Same girlfriend, yes.
Some one probably dug it up and voted on the poll.... which brings it up to the top... then you posted on it.

Never got it off the trailer but had it backed in and started the engine to warm up and check pressures. I thought I was slick because I caught it pretty fast, pulled the boat forward to let it drain. Well the wait of the boat most have forced the water in fast, what took 30 seconds to come in took 5 minutes to drain.
I got caught letting it drain and the jokes started.
They called me Active Drainplug for the rest of the year at the marina.
