The single is a Crapshooter; comes out of Greenfield, IN. Mine doesn't run as well, but the builder has his coming off the turns at 91MPH radar and pulling more than 13Gs in the turns. It weighs less than 6lbs, dress ready to race, less fuel. It runs a 7.5cc single cylinder nitro two stroke. I built and sold a scaled down version called the BlackJack that runs a 3.5cc that runs well north of 75MPH. The inline twin is a scratch build, modeled after the Crapshooter, including the engine, entirely scratch designed and built by yours truly. I have not run a boat in over a decade, but don't consider myself out of the hobby. I tell people I didn't stop running boats to start my machining business, but the timing is conspicuously coincidental. Prior to that, I raced regionally pretty consistently for the better part of two decades, traveling as far south as Charleston, SC and a far north as London, Ontario. Good Times..... Thanks. Brad. |

I know of Mike L, but don't know him personally. I wanted to get the solid model for the '69 Pride of Pay'nPak to build a wood over foam model to race in 1/8Scale, but he wouldn't come off it. From my memory, these boats were both build before ML was widely known. Thanks. Brad. |
