This is post #519...page 52....with the photo on this thread. It is Sammy James racing his 38 foot Bertram. The photo of the boat as it is coming DOWN from his leap.

US Geodetic Survey boat near this shot at Rebecca Shoals the same day, put in their official log......The wave heights at Rebecca Sholas today were 18 feet.

I think this is the best Big Air photo of all time.
