I went to school with Dick Bates (who preferred being called Richard after about 5th grade or so).

I also went to school with Gary Hunt who had a brother, Mike Hunt.

A Steve Martin works for me (goes by Steven).

A Michael Jackson worked for my Dad (I asked him to moonwalk when I was introduced to him - he was unamused, since my request was apparently unoriginal).

One found an Eaton Cox in the San Francisco phone book.

Cousin's daughter dated a Korean boy named Hyung Dong. His twin brother was named Dyung Dong, but preferred to be called "Steve". Hyung liked his name and did not want to be called anything else (Cousin said, "Just my luck". She picked the one named Hyung..)

Met a Japanese businessman named Yu****a Tamata (he preferred to be called "Hank").

Some years back I was listening to a US FM radio station host talking about this same subject.
One caller recounted how she had a best friend in school whose family name was Lear (like the jets). Her first name was Crystal......

Her middle name was 'Chanda' !
