Ok for the curious....

2002 F250 PSD SRW deisel, Platinum Edition, 4X4, crewcab, all options available..... ended up at $26,500.... they gave me $5K over my loan value on my trade in (pretty good trade-in value). Considering that you cannot sell used cars anymore(very hard) due to dealer financing on new cars/trucks is so cheap, I feel pretty good about this. I saw one on the internet last week for #31K down in Texas, but I spent four hours "negotiating" this deal also.....

Wow, that sounds like a great price. I paid that much in 99 for my 150 4x4 Lariat.

Point of Note to the GM guys, Point of Pride for the Ford guys.....

To Wit: The Chevy dealer where I bought my Ford PSD from told me today that "The truck used to pull the GM Parts & Accessories Display trailer to the SUPER CHEVY SHOWS is a PSD FORD!! "
Not only that but: The salesman selling me my PSD, at the Chevy dealer, owns & drives a FORD PSD!! I would love to have a picture of that!!

Golly, I just love GM Pride!!

Gee Mr Goodwrench.... I haven't had to "lock hubs" outside for over 7 years on a Ford at least.... shift on the fly electrically since at least '96........ and WHAT??? NO DENIAL about the PSD pulling the GM trailer to shows???
I didn't buy a PSD to drag race.... I bought it to PULL A LOAD!! Let's look at that Isuzu Duramax vs Ford 6.0 vs the Cummings in the test of pulling 17,000# loads..... who was waiting at the finish line for the GM & Dodge??? Ford, that's who.
Now what was that about "Ford ***s"??????

G-M is what Fords say to Duramax... "GET - MOVIN!!"

Havin' fun

What you have here are 2 fine vehicles, the 2001 Ford is typically about 2500 cheaper than a 2001 Chevy, equipped the same. But, value wise this is a 2002 Chevy, which is 3,000.00 more than the 2001, so the spread isn't really 7K, more like 1500. The Duramax is proven, we have over 91K on our 2001 and my 2002 crew cab, 14000.miles which I just listed for sale under ActiveThunder 37 avh might also be a canidate for you. Either way you can't go wrong, in our fleet we have 4 fords, 3 GMC's, and 1 Dodge. I get a new personal vehicle every year, its got all the toys, Edge chip, hard cover, speed grill, and so on, I will work with you give me a call if interested, thanks Jeff 228-216-0900 cell. Good Luck
