Default Tandem Dual Boat Trailer question

I am looking at a boat with a extreme trailer, and tandem dual axles (8 tires on the ground). I was told that the Dually axles were not sealed for water and were a pain when dunking the boat. That if they were oiler axles that you would have to continually drain them after each outing and refill them with oil. Anyone have any experience with these axles for boat trailers???
I know for only hi-way use that oiler axes are the best, but for boat trailers I dont know. I have heard that there is a kit to convert them over to a sealed axle but I don't know about that either. Just wondering!!
