You people are rude. Let me be the first to say welcome to the board. My boat is big and slow so I cant help on the chine walk thing :)

Ron P 05-26-2003 11:17 PM

You would probably find the boat more stable with the drives spinning outward.

The prop can have a definet effect on chine walking. So can the trim levels and steering play. I have to disagree on the prop diameter as causing the chine walk. The hydromotive prop has a large diameter and it's one of the more stable props to run.

WELCOME TO THE SHOW, merc 280s k planes.

Welcome to the board. If all else fails, you COULD buy a SKATER!;) :) Planes will definitely help. Like Treadwell said, don't go to big as too much of a good thing is bad. Also, Ron P made a good point, and I am CERTAIN T2x will attest too viamently, spin those wheels out. Best of luck.

Try raising the engines another bolt hole (if this is an option), if you are not already too high this generally reduces chine walk.
