My previous boat was financed through Key bank. When I sold it, the deal went smooth. I called them when I was looking at several boats, Thinking that I would slip right in. After all, I recently had a loan and was never late on making a payment. I was told that They couldn't deal with me direct, because Iwasn't a dealer. I started looking elsewhere. Ended up going through Scott Financial (Another story in itself. ). All said and done, My loan is with Key Bank, Through Scott. It took almost 4 months to close the deal on the new boat.

I did talk with Key Bank, direct, at 1800 KEY2YOU. The lady was arrogant; not nice, and stated because I do not live in a state with a branch, I cannot walk in and sign papers. I think that is BS in todays age of the internet. For cripes sakes, I can buy a house, sign, sold, and have the keys mailed to me without leaving the damn desk.

I financed my boat with Key Bank and refinanced with them 2 years later. I was happy with their rates both times but they are slow to customer requests. When I sold my boat, it took way too long IMO to cough up the title.

Sydwayz, call Jerry Pitts at Russo Marine in Kent Island. That is who I used to refi through Key Bank. Did everything from my house, they over-nighted me the paper work and then I sent it back to them and they sent it in to KeyBank.

I have had no problems with Key Bank.

I was 21years old getting a $60K+ loan and got it no problem, Russo Marine did a refi through them for me no problem.

I just sold the boat and lets see how long it takes to get the lien release.
