Re: Mercury Racing

Ladies and Gentlemen:

Yesterday Mercury Racing advised us that they were terminating their current Sponsorship Agreement with us.

While we certainly were disappointed to hear this we will continue to make every effort to resolve this situation so that everyone involved: APBA Offshore, Mercury Racing, the racers, the sponsors and the race sites, wins.

In the meantime, you may rest assured that the Mercury Truck and its crew will continue to be welcomed at our races and will be treated well, as always. Our number one priority is to deliver the best possible racing experience to our loyal and dedicated customers: the APBA Offshore Race Teams!

See you all in Savannah!!!

Sincerely,
APBA-Offshore Power Boat Racing, LLC

Michael D. Allweiss

Chairman

Think we'll see a return of the shaft drive boats next year?

Why is there is so much contract controversy surrounding the LLC? I hope Mercury continues to support the teams of offshore racing and POKER RUNNING alike across the nation. I hope that it can be worked out where other manufacturers will be allowed to enter their drives as well. Run spec engines and allow whatever drives the team wants.

Not intended but I assume this will spark some debate. Just my opinion.

Unhappy

Maybe I'm wrong, but it sounded like Merc's decision was based, at least partialy, on APBA dropping Offshore, LLC?
