Little Tommy,

One thing that I would do is make a formal written complaint to his supervisor and/or his DNR station. This should go straight into his file(most all cops have personal files for certificates and also this kind of stuff) and it could make a difference down the road if it's well written, dont just name call etc.... As far as having a chip on his shoulder, his duty officer might not and if you have a discussion with him it might make an instant impact on him.

IMHO, ZT-Rick, Dean, and HyperBaja have good theories on this.
we'll enforce it if "given a reason"
I'm just being a little courteous to my neighbors and I don't want un-needed attention from the marine patrol.
Hey Dean, Buffet is a freaking pirate isnt he?
But then again, it's hard to get in trouble with a loud boat, when you IDLE everywhere!!

Breathe Later, It might not be my place to get into your discussion with Mr. Demeanor but I was told entrapment was a cop enticing someone to commit a crime, maybe I missed something between you two but asking you to have a beer isn't a crime is it, unless you are under 21?

Little Tommy,

When you find out when the next meeting is, e-mail me at [email protected] we'll also attend the meeting. Also.. I work closely with virtually all the Green Bay Dealers, I'll make some calls and get others to attend. Rick

Thanks Mark and ZT,
Mark, that is a good idea to call his supervisor. I will plan on that first thing on Monday.
ZT, I will email you with the information as soon as it is available.
It would be fantastic to have as many of us at the meeting as possible. Thanks,

Little Tommy

Default noise citations

We to had the pleasure of a noise citation 2 years ago in Egg Harbor WI. After being tracked for 2 hours, Mr. DNR and friends approached my boat and forced us to pull up anchor from the beach to run a sound check. Many boats were at the beach that day but they wanted to talk to us. After 3 passes we failed the noise test and we were issued a lovely citation. I guess the bright blue bikini didn't help. When we got back to the launch in Sturgeon Bay Mr. Coastguard was conveniently waiting and boarded us, not the other 15 boats there. No problems were found as we all know powerboaters are one of the safest groups out there.

Let's band together and send as many emails as we can to Gov. Doyle. Hit the WI state website and there is a link to contact. Maybe this will get the message out in addition to your efforts.

Thanks for your help, have a safe holiday weekend.

Seems they only want to target the "go fast boats". It will only get worse. How much over the decible readings were you???

Mr. Demeanor-

Do you often think of things in terms of phallic symbols??? Are you the cop from the Village People?????

We were at 89. I received an email back from Gov. Doyle's office. Skip that idea, the email I got back appears to be a "form" email. It states the gov. likes to respond to each and every letter/phone call but can't to emails.

So...here's the address:
Governor Jim Doyle
115 East
State Capitol
Madison WI 53702
His office; 608-266-1212

Let's flood the office/phone lines. I'm hoping especially those of you that were issued a citation as you had direct contact with these guys.

I got stopped over the weekend on the Milwaukee river. "Luckly" he didn't have his meter with him. They were no more than pulled up next to me than when one had jumped into my boat and was looking for a muffler. They didn't believe me when I told them that I did have mufflers. I wasn't about to turn them off to proove my point. Ultimatly they told me that unless I was running a through prop exhaust that I was going to be illegal. Boy, that sure would be interesting WITH AN EXTENSION BOX!

Holey cripes have you guys got the turds flying up there over the border!!!! Cord- where did you run into the cop that said you were illegal unless you were thru- prop? I want that guy to meet my KAAMA powered F402 Formula. Maybe he can show me where the exhaust comes out of my surface drives, cause I'll hook that thru-prop right up........Yeahhh!
