Going to here $hit for this.... Jet Ski Parts

Why I am even on this board asking this I couldn't tell you....... So let me have it. Its not for me its for the wife and friends I swear

But seriously I need parts for two old skis that I have. I need pistons rings and complete gaskets for a 88 Sea Doo 580...... and a used crank & rods along with new pistons, rings & gaskets for a 88 Yamaha WR500. Where is the best place to start looking??? I mostly want to get the sea doo running first but if anyone knows where to get a crank for the Yamaha that would be awesome

Ouch.....that Seadoo might be a tough one. I don't think that motor is still in production, but I could be wrong.

Try Coldwater Lake Marina in Michigan.

517-238-2777. They deal quite a bit of these and may be able to steer you in the correct direction. Ask for Darren. He might suggest you call Hilldebrands in Quincy MI. That or Try JD Performance Marine in Cincinnati, infact, that is probably better. Call info...they are on Filview Circle, area code 513. He is a high perf 4 wheeler and jetski dealer about 3 minutes from my house.

Good Luck

Allan

Those are my 2 suggestions. Good Luck.

I think that Seadoo motor was made well into the 90s in the sp and the spi. Good luck

Give me 24 hrs on this one. There is a place in Cali that has EVERYTHING you would ever need for parts where older PWC are concerned. Can't remember the name right now. If the guy couldn't get it he knew someone that could.

Lemme look around a little. I'll find something out on this one.

K, found it. Try this place... http://www.mm-marine.com/ and this one http://www.watercraftsalvage.com/

If either one of these places doesn't have it no one will.

HLSM.com

They offer on-line drawings and part numbers of sea-doos and yamahas. If the motors are toast you are probably better off financially to just buy a new long block from SBT. (SBT.com) They do a great job and put everything together with new gaskets and even paint it. They also have an unconditional warranty!

Happy hunting

Short Block Tech is actually:

http://www.sbtontheweb.com

They actually built a test facility where they tie skis to the dock, peg the throttles and see how long before the blow up. The video on their site is pretty funny.

I have dealt with SBT back in their early days when I use to race, and have to say they are pretty good. My motor from them blew up again, but it was not their fault.
