A customer/friend of mine was killed on his Harley just a few weeks ago. He was a very talented body man and custom car builder. I had seen him on Friday and he was killed the following Tuesday. It is such a sick feeling to hear about someone you know dieing like that. He was not at fault but he is still dead.
I gave up on street bikes 30 years ago and started racing flattrack. At least every body is the same size and going in the same direction (most of the time). I felt safer doing that than riding on the street. I also used to ride Hare Scrambles and a lot of trail riding. Then I got a boat and the bikes just sit now.
Sorry for your loss, Jon

Sorry to hear about another Bike accident like this
I ride mine a lot less do to hearing about these deaths/injuries
I know it's a roll of the dice everytime I go out so I just
go a lot less to lower my odds. I stopped driving to work
cause the rush hour traffic was insane.

I've lost two friends over the years on bikes. They're fun but I haven't ridden since the 70's and probably never will again. Just not worth the risk. But I'll do 85 mph across an unstable surface like water .
My heart goes out to you and your friends family

Very sad.
Sorry for your loss. After hearing Fever Mikes story I canceled my order for my new Road King. I love to ride, but it just wasn't worth the "potential price" I have been down 3 times. 2 my fault (draggin knee's) 1 not my fault. It's funny how we forget how hard that pavment is. To all of you that continue to enjoy the sport you love......rubberside down.

sorry to hear about friends loosing friends
I too ride. I actually spent my winter boat $$ savings to restore my bike. It has satt for 2 years. New tune, new parts, new paint, and a new 4sale listing
Sad part is it belonged to my oldest brother that passed away years ago. Planned on keeping it as a family heir..
But I really do not want to end up next to him at this point in my life
