I agree 105... Whatever they hit broke the skeg on one of the motors. At that time it was getting dark so they most likely just didn't see what they hit. It's very unfortunate and scary to think it could happen to any of us.

Local 6:00 news stated that the missing person was still not found and that the Coast Guard are looking into possible charges against the driver.

Now that's BS. There was no alcohol involved and there isn't a speed limit (I believe) where they were traveling. It's an accident that can happen to anyone.

Charges based on what? Going fast does not constitute reckless or endangerment. If a skeg is damaged, seems like thats the probable cause. As if a missing friend/passenger isn't enough for the driver, now the cops are going to start throwing around charges. . . makes you question our legal system doesn't it?
