Foul

They'll say "I always wondered what an 11second car looked like".

My choice would be either a 87-93 notchback 5.0 LX (Gear,exhaust,N20, and slicks you will be having some fun) or a 928 Porsche. I've always heard they were a really good car for the money.

Had an '89 5.0 GT. To date it was the most fun car I had to drive, beating a 1998 SS, but the fun probably had a lot to do with the fact that it was broke every other month Had all the 'bolt-ons,' gears, etc. My best friend also had an '87 w/ pretty much same set up. He'd say the same thing, we miss them terribly, but they just broke so DAMN much.
And the 305's......

My choice would be the 944. I had one for 7 years and sold it with 140,000 miles on it. The only thing that went wrong with it the whole time I owned it was it broke the pinion shaft in the tranny. Put a used trans in myself for $600. Drove the thing everywhere from Canada to the west coast. One trip out west with it I went 5000 miles in 6 days and never got tired of driving it. Not the fastest car of your choices but by far the best handling. 50/50 weight distribution, engine in the front transmission in the rear makes for a very stable ride. The turbo is even better but more $$$. Also the turbos did not have the trans issues due to a trans cooler. I live in Minnesota and did not drive the car in the winter but I'd bet with a set of full snows it would be OK.

Oh yeah and check your insurance rates on all of them. Mine were pretty steep when I was younger.

I have the perfect car for you. 1998 FORD Escort ZX2. 73,000 miles. Decent looking little car, stick shift, big time gas saver and modern looking. Not a race car but you can still run the crap out of it. $3200

NADA shows a retail of $4300+ still on this car.

Default Hey TEAMBAJA,

Got any pics? Moving to the suburbs in a week. Don't want to put 100 miles a day on the 7-series Bimmer.

Hmmmm... a bolt on'89 GT beating a 98 SS... must have been the driver. My 2000 Formula was running 12.90s @ 111-112 on the factory RSAs at MIR and Capital in MD with an airbox, WS6 exhaust, and SLP smooth tube. Being that the 5.0 GT is a hi-14 to 15sec car stock, there must have been a ton of bolt ons on that ride... sorry... been racing against these things for years with all of my Firebirds.... unless it has a power-adder, then it's still slow. Anyway, that's not the subject.

I would go with the Porsche so long as it's looked at closely before purchase. These are incredible cars for the money and hold up well. I close friend has one down in Atlanta that he bought cheap and now autocross's every chance he can get. It also responds REALLy well to boost... once you get the turbo sorted (this is a turbo model, right?).
