A Must Read For Skipper Bud's Northpont Customers
I HEAR THERE IS A MAJOR MECHANICAL PROBLEM WITH THE FORKLIFT AT SKIPPERS IN NOPRTHPOINT, WINTHROP HARBOR,ILLINOIS. FOR THOSE ON THE RACK CALL FIRST. IT IS A BIG ENOUGH PROBLEM THAT I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THEY "HOPE" TO HAVE IT FIXED FOR THIS WEEKEND. KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED. NO BOATING ON LABOR DAY.:mad:

I guess they need to get one of the porters to drive the other forklift down from Racine! LOL :D

In case you were wondering about those marina forklifts, most are made by Wiggins Lift company. They're called Marina Bulls and come in several different sizes including the W520M2; this puppy can put a 42' Searay Sundancer up on the second rack, according to their website!

Just a dumb question from a guy thsts never seen forklifts used to move boats. Do they actually put the boat in the water with the fork lift, or just use it on the racks?

The forklift picks the boat out of the water and moves it to a rack typically indoors.
