You point is a valid one....it takes a much longer time and distance to stop the faster you go.

I'm sure your imperical data is more accurate, I was using some basic physics. You know, X=Xo+1/2at^2 and V=Vo+at.
Bottom line, Slow Down!!

Hire an attorney, if it is your first offense, your likely to get the charge reduced. Even with the attorney fees, it will be cheaper in the long run.

The best part will be the reaming the juvenile judge will give along with a 6 month AUTOMATIC suspension.

If you are lucky the court will hold your license because you are a minor this means NO points and NO insurance increase.
I speak from experience in Ohio and 2 16 year olds in the household
1 is a good driver with no problems so far the other has had two 6 month suspensions. I might add she has been 18 now for a few months without a license because the term carried over her 18th birthday and the judge did not care to hear her whine about it.

Finally -- Good advice. If your parents have an attorney, he can probably help and he may not charge.

I can't see hiring a Juvenile attorney for a speeding ticket just show respect and enjoy 6 months of saving gas money and taking the yellow school bus

In Ga they just passed a law that you would of lost your license for a year! A local kid just last week was sentenced to 6 years in jail because he ran over and killed a couple on a Harley. Slow down , take a deep breath and enjoy your youth. BH

Yes I will. With the gas money I will save, sell the t-bird and ranger, and buy a real truck to pull a boat, when I get some money (probably be 35 then)
I will call an old girlfriend (first street race I was in was against her brother, ironic) whos dad is a lawyer...
