Default Discount on a new boat

I am interested in buying a 32' to 36' boat (Hustler, Nortech, Donzi) on the Ft. Lauderdale boat show. What is the average discount I can get, now that boat market turned into a buyers market?

No reasonable or unreasonable offer refused in this market. But if you want a over priced 2001 33ZX I can sell you one for more than you can buy a new one for with the market the way it is.

I bought a non-current but new boat (1999 purchased in Feb 2000) for about 35% under sticker, FWIW.

Frogger,
I tried to PM you but you have it blocked. I'll be happy to talk to you at the show. Feel free to call me anytime before and we can discuss your needs.
Hope to hear from you.

20-30% is pretty standard but some will deal more since it's a buyers market. Just do your homework on costs and comparisons... If you're really lucky you can land a 40% off MSRP deal...

Salesmanship - what kind of deals does Nortech have? A guy in our club has a 50' Nor-tech with trip diesels and I think the boat is gorgeous! I would seriously consider a 38+ Nor-tech for my next boat!

Vyper,
That's Boyd Haynes, with the 50. How'd you survive Isabel?
The 38, although a nice boat, is currently out to pasture
as far as new construction goes. It's tough for us to compete in that size range. However, there are a few nice pre-owned models available.
Our next step up is the 43' or maybe you'd consider a 36 cat.
The best time to "deal" is right now. Summer's over and most guys aren't thinking about next year so until the Lauderdale show comes, we're dealing!
Call me anytime.
Terry
