Key West unsanctioned Scooter Race

Time: 6 PMish
Place: Hog's Breath

Entry fee: More than it's worth ($1200.92)

Pre Reg: Sloopy Joe's Fat T-Days, or some where else.

Registration: Hog's Breath 4 PMish no later than 5:59 pm ish, or a round for all.:)

Course: Hog's Breath to the southern most point and back. Quickest route and scooter win's.

Prize:NOTHING

I've already made a few phone calls and I'll be there! Seems My postal connections came through once again. I failed to mention the fact that the Mailmen of Key West use scooters and I am able to Borrow one. And we all know how fast mailmen love to finish their work so they can go to the bars! see you on the starting line.

When you say "Scooter" what exactly do you mean? Rear engine? Any other technical specs? I might bring one from home rather than hopping up one of theirs.

This was brought to my attention rule 1:2:43-8 page 2, All Scooters must be a rental.:crazy:

This works out for a level playing field.

Just so everyone knows, I have purchased the rights to run the scooter race and have made the following changes in the race venue:

The scooter race is now in Antarctica (the same weekend as planned in KW)

All entry fees will be paid to me, wherein I will pay you part back to participate

......................etc etc

OH MAN Just so happens I know a guy who Flys cargo there

I have been studying the race course in my head and I went 100 practice laps today on a vespa scooter. I can do this! I know I can .. FULL CONTACT?

You forgot the mandatory drivers meeting @ noon.

The drivers meeting is the night before at Hogs Breath around 5PM.
Along with testing, you must pre pre register on this thread to qualify for race.

This is not full contact unless you get the insurance waiver and bring proof.

3 drivers attending. 2 Male 1 female.

Yes, we need a drivers meeting the night before. So we can.

1. Walk, stumble or drive the course.
2. Rent a scooter.
3. Get used to driving the scooter.
4. Drink together.

I think I might have a few players with me.

Oh for a second there I thought we were gonna have to fail a breathalyzer b4 we started the race

Have fun guys, I don't think it's the only unsanctioned race that weekend in KW is it? :D

I think we might need more classes.

Drivers under 200lbs
Drivers over 200lbs
Woman drivers

We might also need scorers and some numbers. Stickerboy, will you be in Key West?

One class none of this Scooter and Scooter Lite chit.:D

That's what caused all the racing issue's in other forums of racing..:eek:

Hmm, OK so I will have one of the Harleys down there. If I disconnect a plug wire, can I enter it in Scooter Lite??

Only one class? But, but that's not fair to the fat guys.

Can't we dream up like 12 classes?

Old scooters
new scooters
fairy drivers
scooters with bald tires
Drivers with bald heads (less wind resistance)

The list can go on and on.

Can I bring an onboard navigator to read the chart? Can I use an overhead chopper to talk to me around (through helmet headset of course) the course?

What happens if there is a crash? Yellow flag from the pace scooter? How do we line up?

There's just so much to consider......

One Class that's it:p

The race has No yellows and 1 lap.

The start will be the the old days. You run to the scooter fire up and leave.

Sometime after 6pm while we are all at the bar someone will announce start you engines and leave:crazy:

Ron just between U and me,and you don't tell anyone this, but if you rent a 2 seater they run faster.:)

GPS and navigators aloud.:eureka:

NOS is legal only if hooked up to driver;)
