OT: New Grandson!
#11
Thanks All. We were quite concerned due to the normal issues with preemies. He was early, and as we discovered after a "C" section, his mom only has half a uterus, and will probably never carry full term, according to her Dr. He was progressing normally, except for that, so he was healthy to start with. He has had CT scans for brain bleeds, etc, with good results, heart and lungs have progressed well, but he will probably be on O2 for a while at home, as well as an apnea monitor.
Oh, and BTW- MsPatriyacht- I haven't shaved since 1971, so no sense starting now!

Another Update: Grand-baby stood up today for the first time! He started sitting up without supporting himself on his hand about a week ago. Now he has progressed to standing while holding on to something.
Pic is his first birthday, Nov 21, 2004. I was in the hospital, so my wife made sure she brought me some pics to look at.
Pretty soon, we will have to put up guards in all the doorways, cause he is really starting to crawl everywhere, and get into whatever he can. And once he starts walking, watch out!

Congrats glad all is well.
My brother in law was 2.5 months premature (early 70's) also and he's one of the most feared lawyers in Montreal... Now that I think of it ... It might not be all good!!!

I wish you guys all the best.

David, congrats. I missed this thread before as well. Good luck and God bless. I hope you are getting better too. I still have to catch up with you one day for lunch.
Take care,
Rob

Absolutely awesome! I have been a March of Dimes volunteer for many years, and a board member of our state chapter. Premature babies hit home, and it makes me smile to see the "happy endings". Please keep us posted. I look forward to seeing many pictures of the little one in the future.
