I only need posts, they don't need to be smart. If I could have them at 1 cent a post, that would do it. Maybe I ought to look in that HTM thread and see if anybody is selling there. Some of those should be very cheap...

Ok ST..... seeing you are SO!!! not getting it.......
My big problem with you was the crack about how pure sport boats lack "class" and your "sick" of this and "sick" of that......On an offshore site!!!!!you could have said something like "You know, if you are looking for some thing that offers a little more amenities is high qualiity and still has respectable performance you might look into a Sunseeker......." I wouldnt have a problem with that at all.......Do you see how that differs from what you said?????.......and GLHs analaogy of your "dry" sense of humor frankly doesnt wash at all.....not even close.... DO YOU UNDERSTAND NOW!!!!....ARE YOU GETTING IT!!!!!........And how that relates to post count is this....and any die hard OSOer will tell you this .....we get people on here all the time who have what has come to be known as an "agenda".....join up, and come out, first post, both guns blazing about some problem they have be it with their problem with the APBA or some call that Mike Alwiess made or wanting to sell their porn site (do you guys remember her? she was fun for awhile) A dead giveaway to an "agenda" is some strong views ("sick"of this and "sick" of that and no "class") and a low post count .......are you getting the picture now????? read the above again......the whole thing.

Frankly I dont care what you drive,I wave and talk to everyone, even blow boats and tin boats with 10hp. And if truth be known I have the only pure sport boat in our group, the rest are cruisers!!!!.......and I KNOW those guys are ALL whipped ............doug

twinn29, I understand your arguments and it seems I was a bit harsher than I intended to be. At least, I did not intend to get to you in that way. You are very obviously passionate about your boat and are ready to defend that type of boat just as passionately which, as I said, commands more respect in itself than your post count. Which BTW makes me turn green in envy. More seriously, I also understand your point about new OSO members but we have to be very careful here. Just because some of them have an agenda, does not mean that all of them do and we should definitely try to avoid generalizing. Imagine if Fabio Buzzi or Pete Hledin posted for the first time and voiced an opinion that you did not share. Would they be discredited and treated like they have nothing to say just because of their low post count? Anyway, it's been a good thread. I wish Doug will continue having a blast with his Fountain and I wish GLH will find a perfect compromise which will make him and his family happy. He's doing the right thing though. He is considering a Sunseeker. He may still get a 42' Tiger but that's not the point. The point is to shop around with an open mind and keep all options open until they are narrowed down by serious research and sea trials. This is especially so when you're going to spend a lot of dough...

OBNOXUS21, I'm always between Italy and the South of France. If you plan on coming down to the Cannes Boat Show or Genoa in September and October 2004, let me know. I may also check things out in Paris this January, before heading to Miami...
