The 575 without cooler is a dog in the Heat. I have had many of these boats, including a 95 with the Bulldog and 420 mega blower. The 80 I'm talking about was optimal conditions not completely dailed in. Your estimate of 74 would be hot day, full gas tank, heavy load.

Gary...the 575 has more hp than the 525 and it still doesn't do 80. Bottom line is that the Nodic 28 is no faster or slower than the boats listed ACCURATELY by Fever Mike, maybe a bit faster with the 525, but not 80 by a long shot.

Mike, absolutely there is 4 mph with weight and heat. I have a Nordic 35 w/Hp 500efi's I run 86 -87 summer loaded with 30's, spring and fall 89 -91 w/32's. These are gps speeds.
Indy, the 28 Nordic with the 525 will run with or around the same boat with 575. Bottom line on the 575, it's not a good package for the 28 Nordic.
Remember, guys I stated close to 80, I believe, and call Lonnie at Nordic to verify that the 525 package will hit CLOSE to 80 on a good day.
I do agree there's much BS when it come to speed, however, I have tested these boats and have a friend that has the 28 w/575.
