They were taken to the hospital but they never found the driver....said they were running close to 100 when Chris's boat caught air and started flipping. Alot of damage to the port side sponson. God Bless....... Dave

CigDaze 01-25-2004 05:13 PM

From http://www.baynews9.com/site/content/32248.html

A man is missing after a boat accident Sunday on the Tampa side of the Gandy Bridge.

The 34-foot boat flipped while traveling at high speeds with another boat south of the bridge. Two females and a male were on board when it flipped.

The females were rescued and are being treated at Tampa General Hospital. The search for the male, who owns and was driving the boat, continues.

Tampa Fire Rescue, the Coast Guard and other agencies are participating in the investigation.

Andy Buzz 01-25-2004 07:55 PM

My prayers go out to Chris and his family as well as his two female passengers. It is certainly a tough situation when bad things happen to good people.

Wardey 01-25-2004 08:49 PM

Cuda - No I don't know who the other boat was, but I think I saw where it was another Spectre. What a loss.:( :(

Mike - You're 100% correct, I guess God wants the good guy's up there with him. I am sorry for the loss of your friend. God Bless them all.

For those who didn't know Chris, he started the Bonefish resturaunts when The Outback Boy's bought into his resturaunt chains. He was only 35, single and had the world in his hands. Mike (Jammin 1) worked with Chris a few years back where they became friends. At that time Chris had a Scarrab and then went into a fish boat. Mike told me he was building a 500K boat. He was a very happy person that I will always remember from out on Three Rookers laughing and cutting up. Again, my heart and prayers are with the families and may God watch over him. :( Dave

Donzi Corleone 01-25-2004 08:57 PM

He was runnin with "Livin on the Edge" another 36 Spectre....People you don`t know how hard this is to deal with..I ran with him just a couple of weeks ago and it has hit me and my wife hard cause we are like family out there...I can`t say enough on how hard this hits home till you're faced with it..That could be any one of us at any givin time..Chris GODSPEED TO YOU AND THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES"

Formula Outlaw 01-25-2004 09:11 PM

Our hearts and prayers go out to all those close to him. Hopefully his passengers will recover quickly.

Very Sad news. Sorry to hear this, best wishes for his family and the girls involved.

Just remember, those with money have a better chance of exposing themselves to danger than those that do not.

God Bless
