Look into the 24' Powerquest's as well. I have one and could not be happier with it. Nice deep V, handles great in the rough stuff... I "only" have a 310HP big block in it, but that does not seem to be an issue in the boat like others have stated. I get it up to around 57 on the top end without a labbed prop. It is for sale, but a bit beyond what you are looking to spend. There are some older ones out there I am sure to be had for somewhere in your price range. They are nicely appointed for the size as well, you can have a porta poty in it, as well as having enough room to overnight or 3 on it without to much trouble(just some good planing is needed).

I was in your exact shoes with that exact amount of money. Picked up my Hammer for a good deal and I couldn't be happier. I compared every single boat in that range and found that I liked the Hammer best. You can find some great deals on boats in your price range and size....just make sure you find what fits your need and taste. You can search boattraderonline.com for different models just to get an idea of what it looks like, etc.

Hey, Welcome! Personally I would go with a formula or pantera. If you think there is anyway you can swing a formula 272 I would look for one. It is a true 27 foot boat and is pretty heavy. However , I would research it and see if your tow vehicle can handle it. I had one last year and loved it. You can get a late 80's right in your price range. They handle unbelievable for a 27' boat and also they have a ton more room than the 24's. They are no speed demon but you can squeeze low to mid 60's out of them and ride in comfort. If not the 24' formula is also a great boat. It has a very impressive ride for a 24' boat. your speeds will be a little slower but its a great boat. I've taken the liberty of starting your search for you. Good luck!!!!!

I don't care what anybody says,, Baja's are great boats. and for the money, they have some quality features that the big boys don't. It's a true v and no pads, no steps and runs low 60's. I would buy another without hesitation, and Baja's have good resale value. Chris.
