The pain of what you are asking for :helmet:

I looked at some old note quick the stock Nipendenso pumps which came on the 300hp 6B could only flow about 257 cc and have all the cylinders balanced fairly close. That makes about 600 hp if you can lean the engine enough, 550 hp with no problems. Your problem will come from lack of supply pump pressure because old fuel pumps are mechanical and it takes "time" to fill the barrels. You need to change the supply pump and increase the pressure. That will make another problem which is pushing the plungers to one side, you have to EDM a hole oppiste the fill port so the plunger is not pushed against the back of the barrel and score - this happens fast maybe a couple hours running if the pressure is too high.

This is old school, you spend lots of money and break many parts to get it right.

You can't compare these tuner guys with P/U's to a boat they dyno it for quick pulls or a few seconds on a drag strip or tractor pull and then if street driven it runs at 10%-15% of the power it pulled on the dyno, even a hot shot rigs doesn't make 100% HP for hours upon hours.

Black balled would be the term and from Jim Shipp if you know Cummins marine history, funny part is years later we liked each other! The biggest reason was we marketed & sold HP Cummins B's at 400 hp and race versions at 500hp. They would not of cared unless we didn't sell them.

Just listed a pair of diesels that would be great in a sport boat!!

True that.. look at these Vids... 47'+ boats with diesels and any of them will run on the plus side of 2mpg...
