Many years ago (Nort was still a baby) I took my 24 Sleekcraft daycruiser (Iknow, it's a lake boat) down to I think,Huntington beach, to follow the group over to Catalina. Within 3 minutes of the start I was almost swamped and chickened out of following them the rest of the way...

marc.....don't blame you! This is not the ski run, but almost the same view.....a false start of the poker un inside the breakwater.

Put a skier 250' behind each boat and you've got it. But worse of all, while you're stuggling to see where you are going, keep the boat in one piece, not hit or get hit, the athlete at the end of the rope is giving you UP's.

Give it a try, once you get over the start, its all fun, and its a great team effort. Only the really fast, experienced skiers drag race to the breakwater. After that, its usually smooth racing to Avalon and back...

ps. You won't have to cut the beak off your boat anymore, the limit was raised to 43 feet...
