Is That Boat...
 

The old R.D.S.(Reliable Data Systems) Apache, that Joey Earl originally painted when new? I think I recognize that Apache head...Joey had very distinctive artwork, having a commercial art background/education. Ed:)

Thanks for the kind words! Like a lot of others, I kept an eye on this boat for a while. Over time the price kept dropping. When the price dropped under 100K we decided to go have a look and make an offer. To our surprise they accepted the offer. Now, almost a year later, we have nearly doubled our investment in the boat, but it will be worth it when all is said and done. The boat is coming around and is going to be great again! Thanks again for the words of encouragement. I'll keep you all posted.

Ed: This is the old RDS Apache. It has had many names over the years including Kid Apache, Spirit of Houston and RDS Racing. Here it is as RDS. Sorry, but these pictures are pretty poor quality.

Congrate on a great ride, it's great to see her being restored. Enjoy your up coming season with her, will you be doing some poker runs this coming summer?

I want to do as many poker runs as my schedule allows. I have never done one, but they look like a lot of fun. Since we won't be racing this year, we should be able to attend quite a few poker runs. I am looking forward to it!
