Here are a few pictures of the rigging and wiring behind the dash. It looks to be finished or at least very close. The hole in the top right of this picture is where one of the old compasses was removed. It will be replaced with a new one.

One more shot of the wiring. Like the other side of the dash, the hole in the top left corner of this picture is where the other compass was removed. It too will be replaced. That is all that I have for now. I'll get the full update tomorrow.

Is that green carpet on the back side of the dash?? It seem that would be a Fire Hazard???

Hot Duck 03-28-2004 02:48 PM

That is carpet on the back of the dash. I think the previous owner had it covered because it is exposed to the cabin. Well, it's not really a cabin. It is more like an area under the dash with a small cushion. :D The carpet was already there so we left it. To remove it, we would have had to disassemble everything. Next winter we will have the chance to remove it while we are installing a cabin and while the dash is completely apart to be filled and reupholstered. Either way though, it doesn't pose any problems as far as a causing a fire because there is nothing hot coming in contact with the carpet.
