I talked to Deb just a while ago and she said that Denise is doing well. Smiling some, but then she's happy from all of the pain meds! Deb says she looks 100% better but there there is still a long way to go. Every step forward counts!

Many wishes towards a fast recovery. AND many thank-you's and blessings to those who are surrounding her and providing the support and care of her family. It's times like these where you really find out who your true friends are......

I just got off the phone with Barbara and Debbie and I am so excited for Denise I am beside myself.
She's doing well enough that they are going to try to extubate her tomorrow. So lets all hope that she has a uneventful night and day tomorrow so they can proceed with that plan. I was over again on Saturday with her and I can't believe how much better she looked from the previous weekend. Hopefully when I get back from seeing her this coming weekend I'll be able to pass along a personal message from Denise to you guys.

Fabulous News!!!!
Barbara just called and they did remove the vent. She can talk. Although it's in a whisper. She's very thankful and realizes just how lucky she is. Her vitals are good and she should be moved out of ICU to a regular room within the next day or so. She was even making jokes with Barb about blow boats-rolling her eyes when Barb said she wanted to take an extended cruise on one.
