Think Gas Prices are bad now?

I'm sorry, but I do believe it is all a scam from the get go. I was in college during the first "gas crisis". Big city (Chicago) where it could make the national news had all kinds of shortages. Small town (Champain) which no one cared about had all the gas you wanted. Gas companies (as well as most other corporations) now follow the "stockholder is our customer" philosophy, the only thing they care about is stock price going up. Holding the same and making a good profit doesn't count (neither to the poor smuck "users"), you have to continuously INCREASE PROFIT at the expense of everything (and everyone) else.

Yeah- I remember the last big 'scam' too- in fact a friend of mine who was ferrying 'green' (uncompleted) corporate jets from Europe to the completion centers in the US during the time has a ton of pics of hundreds of low-in-the-water tankers up and down the eastern seaboard clear to Nova Scotia just waiting to unload. Funny, they weren't allowed to.
However, there was no gas to be had...................
It's all for obscene profits now; the rich get richer. Screw the little guy who wants to have some fun on the weekends in the summer. How nice that the prices go up on Thursdays and come down on Monday.
Just wait and watch for their quarterly reports. You'll want to puke!

LOL. Lets just say, I'm not complaining about the prices
. It is quite amazing currently to see the numbers reaching the upper 30's. Generally $26-28 a barrel will keep steak on the table. Today is a new day, we shall see where it goes.

It should go to a new Tiger or RoughRider, that's where it should go
Everyone prodded me to invest what little free cash I had in some oil stocks when I lived in Tulsa late '70's-early '80s....I'm glad I bought at least a little.
