I rode my bike up a canyon here in LA... I must have rolled through some of the leaves at the side of the road... got a flat at the top... and where the tire layed against my bare legs while I fixed the flat, I got the oil on my skin... by that evening it was all blistered and red... you could see the outline of the tire on the insides of my legs... horrible stuff...

Hell, I'm so alergic to the stuff I'll have it for just reading this thread. I HATE IT!!!

I've had that stuff in places that scientists won't go. My balls were so swolen once they looked like Softballs.

I'm gonna go lay in the fetal position for awhile.

I also react the same to evergreens, junipers, etc. If it much larger than a 2" spot you need oral steroids for at least a week. Take Prednisone 60mg a day then decrease by 10mg each day, 60-50-40-30-20-10.

I always got it when hunting in the backwaters of the Mississippi River

Problem is you don't realize you have it until the damage is done...as someone else said, once you spread it look out

Best advice is to go to a Doctor to get a shot which usually clears it up. Some Doctors will not give you a shot if it is not that bad.

The ones that say go to the doctor are right.I get it all the time. Unless it is real bad, I don't even worry about it anymore. When it IS bad, I go to the doctor and get the steroid. That is the only thing that really helps.

My dad told me he had it one time. He got it on his johnson. Said it swelled up and was itching like crazy. He told me if that itching had just gone away, he'd been set for life!

IvyDry works for me. Little blue and white tube. Dries it right up and usually goes away in a couple of days.
