All You have to do Is call your doctor. I had it many times. He can either give the pills they spoke of and it will go away in a few days. One time I had so bad. He gave me a steriod shot and it was almost gone by the next day. It was an over dose of a steriod he said. but he can't always do that. I was leaving for vacation so he hooked me up. You need to see a doctor.

I did try what the other people said about bleach and tide and it does work. I tried everything. growing up as a kid I got it every summer.

This also may sound nuts... BUT my aunt from the hills of VA always made us use White Vinegar and Salt, rub it in really good..... Burns like hell but it will be cleared up in no time!

Articles claim that is is not spread by scratching. I say that's crap.

Whether it works or not, I take a washrag and dunk it in alcohol and grind the itchy spot full of alcohol till it bleeds. Seems to get rid of it pretty fast...

I did weedeat a half acre of ivy when I was younger and had to take oral steriods of some sort.

His head looked like a grape and he was in the hospital for 5 days due to not being able to breath well. I am allergic to absolutely nothing. This and i don't get sick because my parents didn't run us to the doctor unless we had a visibly broken bone (I had 6) or bleeding you couldn't stop. Otherwise you would heal and be stronger for it.

Same here i'm not alergic to ivy or anything else but it looks real uncomfortable when someone else gets it A friend of mine i work with is an avid hunter and likes being outdoors. After just about every weekend he comes in to work with pink arms (calamine lotion) because he gats poisn ivy every time he goes in the woods.

Default great cure

Ask yor doctor for a prescription cream called Temavate or over the counter solution is Prep H- cuts down on the itching and dries up the rash. Prep H works great on kids if they get Chicken Pox

I found that swimming in a pool with a lot of chlorine or in salt water helps.
