When you say he'll "spot him 1/8th of a mile... does that mean both bikes are at a dead stop.... the Busa at the start line... and the Harley at the half way mark?... and they both start at the same time?... Or.... They both start at the start line and the Busa waits until the Harley has already accelerated and reached the half way mark before leaving the line?

I misread, Reeds correct. If they both get a standing start, the Harely starting at the 1/8th mark...it could be close.

I almost forgot one. This is what happens when you put 500hp in a short wheelbase. The bike is also a Busa. This is the best short bike video out there.

Reed - The Harley starts at the 1/2 way mark from a dead stop.

KPH. The turbo busa pulls the front end up and passes the Yamaha R1 at about 170mph.
Streetbike record is 251mph at Bonneville on a tuurbo Busa. At that speed, the salt no longer offers enough traction and applying more power results in wheel more wheel spin.

Looking at the video, I'd guess it's from Europe (look at the plates on the cars), so the speedo is probably reading in km/h. 280 km/h = ~174 mph...

Heres a blast from the past. Who remembers Nickslick? He sold his boat and has a nitrous carbon fiber Busa. He does a lot of videos. Heres one of him and some others racing a 900hp Dodge Viper.

Hows that for a Monday Morning Nickslick report?

I don't see the harley running anything better than 8.5 second 1/8th mile on it's best day.

8.5 on a bike is quick though and if this guy on the Busa is not a Pro Stock Bike racer then you might want to consider going with the Harley
